Silly dog

I wake up this morning ans usually Daisy is sitting by the door ready to great me as I come out of the bedroom. Well she was not there but I did see this. All her toys and of coarse her favorite thing to chew on my Crocs. I then I hear her crying over in the corner and I ask her whats wrong?
Daisy ......
"Well why are you hiding over there?"
Daisy ....
"Come here give me a kiss"
She just sits there.....
And then I got to thinking, well shes a pretty smart dog. Shes smarter than your average dog and then

it clicks that she did something bad.
"Daisy did you do something bad, don't be shy about being messy daddy yells at mommy all the time for leaving her shit every where don't worry about it we will just pic it up?"
She sits there with that look on her face like we beat her or something.
AND THEN I SEE THIS!! At first thought and glance I thought she ripped apart the couch and I was MAD then on closer evaluation its all Kleenex. Just like her mom she likes to leave Kleenex
everywhere...
She is too friggin cute!!! And how can you get mad at a face like that.
What I do not understand is why she would do that if she KNOWS shes been bad....
I wonder what dogs think?
And now I have confirmed the fact that she was abused because it took me FOREVER to get her to come to me even though when I figured it was Kleenex I was laughing and giggling about how cute she is and how if hubby saw it he would laugh too saying something along the lines of
"You are your mothers daughter"..lol

I think I'm in love with your doggy!! She is a smart cookie. At least that crime scene wasn't expensive!

Yep. I used to walk in the front door and say, "What did you do?" in an accusatory tone, to our Rotti. If he chewed anything up, he'd immediately lay down, and look up at us with, "Woe is the puppy, please forgive me," puppy dog eyes. If he didn't do anything wrong...he'd continue jumping and welcoming us home as if we'd been gone for 6 years.
And people say then don't have thinking/processing brains like we do. Pffffft.

MUCH easier to clean up than barf!

They say the average dog is like a two-year-old...Old enough to have a great time making a mess, not old enough to understand what "pick it up means."

Such an adorable picture in her bed by the way.

That is the only thing my dog has ever chewed and she will still destroy any kind of paper (she's almost 8 yrs old).

It's probably your snot rags you've left all over the tables... so you can't really get upset with her :)

I shouldn't laugh, but that picture is really funny. I didn't know dogs liked kleenex. My dog likes to shred magazines that have been on the floor. I had to buy 3 issues of some mag (can't remember) because it had an article I wanted to read and he kept tearing it up. Um....come to think of it, I shouldn't have blamed him, ya think?

She is so cute...I just want to give her a hug! At least she knows that she does wrong...sometimes Rickey just looks at me like "what? that was bad? nah."

My dog does that with the bathroom trash...ALL THE TIME...if I turn my back on her and she is near the bathroom, that is exactly what happens...

And after she does it, if I don't catch her in the act, she is cowering in the corner like, "I'm a bad dog...I know I'm a bad dog...please forgive me." Its weird because I've never laid a hand on my dog, but she does this same thing Daisy does. She was also an adoption case...I got her when she was a year old, so there is a strong possibility that she could have been abused too. I wonder if this is an abused dog behavior or what.
