Washington DC BABY!!
So I mentioned the hubby is doing a bunch of traveling for work in the next few months, he leaves Monday for 2 weeks to Washington DC and I was really sad about it. Well him being the brilliant man that I married checked flights and I AM GOING FOR THE WEEKEND TO VISIT!!! My boss was so gracious to give me Friday off so I could fly in while he was at work (its a 6 hour flight) I am so excited, he has everything planned he wants to do when I am there. He is going to be there when they do the lighting of the trees at the white house and I am kinda sad that I am going to miss that but how cool would that be? We are going to visit the tomb of the unknown soldier, a few museums, the big Abraham Lincoln memorial so trust me when I say there will be LOTS of pictures. Neither of us has been so its a mini vacation for us both. The hotel is 2 miles from the white house and everything else is in walking distance and this guy he works with told him about a GREAT Indian food restaurant right near the hotel so its hard for me to see what I am more excited about... I have not had Indian food in 6 months!!!.... The White House is going to be beautiful with all the holiday lights....
I am so SPOILED!!!
SO y'all know I was whoring myself out with my Amazon Gift list...
I GOT MY FIRST SURPRISE IN THE MAIL TODAY!!!
This pretty little box with a smiling face at me!!! From one of my very Dear Friends in California with whom I used to work for. Well my dear friend T went through it all with me and she loves me... she really LOVES me....
I am SO excited!!! And my surprise came at the BEST time, I am feeling under the weather and I am spending the weekend in bed recovering WITH MY NEW BOOKS!! I am so excited. You guys have NO idea how much I love to read. Serious. Almost (well sort of close, lets be honest) almost as much as I love SHOES!! I love me some books! I love to read and every since T-Girl was talking about the Secret I have been touching and feeling this book everytime I see it (I know sounds sick) Its this thing I do I also squeal when a new book comes out from one of my favorite authors and I could spend $1000 easy in one trip to Barnes and Noble.
Have you read either of these??? I am so excited

Talk about Karma biting you in the ASS!!
Robber who wasn't supposed to gamble wins $1 million in lottery
So I saw this today and laughed.. Talk about Karma, you get convicted of a bank robbery and then while you are on probation you win a million dollars and now they are debating on if you get to keep it or not.
I think not. It should go to the court system, or mental hospital that he was in care of when he was treated to pay his restitution back to society...
What are your thoughts??

Tomorrow will be a better day
I keep saying I am not going to blog about work. But I am going to LOVE tomorrow!!
Why? I thought you would never ask!!
I get to tell a BUNCH of really great employees that they have won a trip to Vegas!!! How friggin cool is that?
Sad news is the hubby leaves on Monday for Washington DC for 2 weeks leaving me and Daisy home alone to get fat and eat bon bons.... He will be back before I LEAVE FOR VEGAS BABY (completely unrelated to work) I am actually going to hang out with two of my old roommates that are still really great friends. I am so excited!! I was going to go out one weekend to DC to visit and site see with the hubby but its too friggin expensive!! I am going to keep checking flights to see if we can get something cheaper. My flight to Vegas was only $158 return so really how could I not go!!
So maybe bon bons are not a great idea while the hubby is gone, I will need to look HOT when I am trolling around Vegas in my bar gear, introducing the "girls" so I gets me some free drinks...

"Oh I'm sorry I thought my time was my own time"
So I am going to be a little bitchy in hopes that no one I work with will ever read this.
I like my job, actually I LOVE my job and I feel really lucky because not to many people can say that. But of coarse with any LOVE you also get the pain in the ass BULLSHIT that goes with the Love... My manager and I get along great most days, she has her days and I have mine. Well she was sick the whole 4 day weekend and came to work with a little chip on her shoulder. Anyways the day progresses and shes in her office all day, when she emerges she's ready to chit chat so we start joking around about Christmas and that she is going home to her family. We talk about my plans and I tell her "Well I am going to Vegas Dec 21st till the 23rd"
She stares at me blankly then in the most snotbitchfuckingassmanageratthetopofherlungsway says "RANDOM WE NEVER DISCUSSED YOU HAVING ANY TIME OFF!!!"
While giving me the UGLIEST stare down EVER
Which is when I responded "Oh I'm sorry I thought my time was my own time I will be at work on the 21st my flight does not leave Denver till 8pm" BIAATCCHHH!!!
Anyways that's my vent.... carry on

Angel Tree
Today was a great day.. Me and Jess went to the mall out in Fort Collins, well it was not really planned I needed to pick up my prescription from the pharmacy and I have to drive 40 minutes to get there.. long story about that one, you assume ALL Targets have a pharmacy in them EXCEPT FOR THE COWBOY TOWN I LIVE IN!!!
Its was a nice day we dilly dallied around, and the mall had an Angel tree so we each picked 2 kids (an Angel tree is where under privileged kids with parents on welfare are able to get gifts. You pick a name and it has their age and clothing size and what they wish for Christmas, you then go and pick out the gifts and bring them back unwrapped so the can verify the "appropriateness" of the gifts and they wrap them and get them to the kids families on Christmas eve)
So I have a little boy names Odden and a girl named Kataya and they both want clothes, Kataya wants a baby doll, and Odden wants trucks and balls
I have done this many years before and its a good thing to do. I always try to envision the family I am buying for and how much courage it must take to ask for help to ensure your children even though they do not have much at least have something at Christmas. I was surprised at how organized this one was, taking names and phone numbers and promising to follow up with you if they have not received your gift by Dec 19th so that they can be certain EVERY child gets a gift.
I picked 2, 4 year olds because at that age they are just starting to understand Christmas and what it means and what its about. I remember as kids that my mom and my whole family used to do this together, we would always go to the mall, everyone would pick an Angel off the tree then we would go out and buy our gifts. It was my mother's way of making us know that we should be thankful for everything we had. She also a few years made us work at the food kitchen and we as a family used to sign up through the Salvation Army and we would pick out a turkey with all the fixings and on Christmas eve we would deliver it ourselves to the family in need. We always asked if we could purchase gifts for the children (we used our own allowance) and my mom and dad would buy sweaters for every family member.
As crazy as I think my mom is some times these are lessons I will take with me and refer back to the rest of my life...... And you all know how much I LOVE to shop!!!

HAPPY THANKS GIVING!!
STUPID BLOGGER ATE MY POST!!! I am so mad!! Ok I will do another one seeing how I do not having anything to do today.. .lol other than get the turkey into the oven.
This is what the evening brought to Wyoming. I could hardly believe it. Its been 4 years since I have seen and driven in snow so this was quite an adjutment. The weirdest thing is that the day before this snow fell it was 70 degrees!!! Such strange weather. I LOVE the smell of winter, and once I get used to the snow and COLD I should be ok.
This is Daisy BEGGING to get back into the house... see how impressed she is with the snow?? She will not even go out for walks anymore.. not even with her little coat on she wants nothing to do with it.....

Work Horse!!
So I started the new part-time gig and its AWESOME!! Too bad I am not going to make any money from all the stuff I am going to buy in the store.... lol
I have been working all day (9 hours less lunch) and then heading the the PT gig for training which has been 5 hours a night after a full day... and I should be SUPER tired right now but sleep alludes me.
So I am baking cookies. The neighbours kid he goes to church with came by a few months back selling cookie dough for a school function and I bought some... well lets just say A LOT, I am such a sucker for this crap though, because I was always #1 selling cookies, or chocolate bars so I ALWAYS buy stuff from the kids who come to the door. Oh and 2 ladies kids at work who were selling them too... not such a great idea when you are working on losing weight and have ALL THIS COOKIE DOUGH laying around. So I bake cookies and bring them to work. Right now there is double chocolate chunk chip cookies baking away in the oven and when they are done (12 minutes) then I will try to sleep again.
I am so excited about the 4 day weekend!!! WEEHOOO well from one job anyways, so this new PT gig is training 3 days this week and then my first "official day" is BLACK FUCKING FRIDAY!!! Serious I do not know what I get myself into. Well it could be worse I guess, Kohls
(one of the places I really wanted to work) is opening @ 4am and I only have to be at work @ 5:30am..... Well at least I will be off in time to maybe check out some after thanksgiving sales... yeah who am I fooling I will be so sick of friggin people by the time I get off that I will be heading straight home for turkey leftovers.
I am cooking this year again. Only my 2nd turkey ever so I am going to have to call my mother in law again for directions I always forget how many pounds = how many hours in the oven. Hubby and I are excited because we are going to make Daisy her own plate and watch her stuff herself.... I will be sure to take pictures....
I have a lot of things to give thanks for this year.... Look for my Thanksgiving day post.. between naps from stuffing myself!!

How did she get so smart?
I think to be honest she's a lot like me and is SICK of hearing all this shit about Brittney Spears, I mean I really can not blame her, Brittney is very much like a train wreck (pardon the pun) you HATE her but you can not look away.. which is why I am VERY excited about my new subscription to US Weekly. I love trash magazines but this one is by far my favorite I guess Daisy is not too fond of Brittney either...
Sorry

Canadians are GREEN
In Canada we are big about the environment. It was a big change for me when I moved to California. For instance in Canada the supply you with 2 recycle bins, one for cardboard, paper ect and one for glass and plastic. You are required to sort your garbage. What happens if you do not sort your garbage? They will not pick it up....yep if you put out your garbage and not your recycle bins (different bin each week) they will leave your trash there....
Pretty cool huh??
This is a picture of the HUGE plastic recycle bin in the middle of the mall in Montreal... Canadians are cool people!!
Oh yes I did

My Vacation....very long post!!
Was so amazing but busy!! I feel really blessed to have so many people in my life who love me and want to spend time with me however minimal while I was in town.
Day One was LONG we left our house at 3am to get to the airport that is 2 hours away for my red eye flight. It was bitter sweet leaving the hubby at home this time, seems I was REALLY stretched thin on this trip than on other.. anyways connected in Philly with an hour lay over I headed over to the duty free for some CHEAP booze. I got a bottle of Malibu rum for 9 dollars. I arrived home at 7pm as there was a delay in Philly we were on the runway and had 18 planes in front of us for take off......
As soon as I got off the plane I hit the ground running, my bestest friend in the world Salinna picked me up and we headed off to get Andrea and Sara for our girls only adventure in Montreal, Quebec. It should have only been a 2 hour drive but due to the insane weather it was pouring like crazy it took us 3 hours. So we did what we would have done when we were 21, we jumped in the shower and headed out to the bars. Not sure if you have heard of Montreal or not but they have some of the best night life in Canada. As we were passing a bar not sure where we were heading we overheard the doorman say "Ladies night, five dollar cover girls drink free ALL night" without missing a beat we all paid our cover and settled in for a sloppy night!! At 3am when the bars finally closed I had officially been up for 24 hours.... Yeah I was BEAT but it was well worth it, after we left the "free drinks" bar we headed to an after hours bar for a few more drinks and ended up meeting this really cool guy who gave us his booth with bottle service because he was leaving and we ended up talking him into staying (I mean who could resist us?)
He invited us all to his restaurant the following night for dinner and we all made a really great friend.
The morning we woke up to head out for some of the BEST shopping Canada has to offer, Montreal is like the Paris of Canada...lol Just so y'all understand.
This is Andrea and Sal doing some serious modeling... that's Sal's "Blue Steel" (shes on the right)
And this beautiful dress was a whopping $495 and IT WAS FUCKING CROCHET!!! AND UGLY... my classy friend Sal has no shame and seeing how all the dressing rooms were full we went ghetto styles and just tried it on in the middle of the store...... UGLY
Montreal was AWESOME the Saturday night we went for dinner at our new friends restaurant and it was AMAZING. Andrea and I had the duck, Sara at the quail and Sal had a steak, for an aperitif they brought sauteed olives that were SO YUMMY! It was so nice to get caught up and have some quality girl time, my liver would tell you different but what does it know?? I love these girls so much and would do anything for them!!
When we headed home from Montreal we were all beat and I headed to Sara's to spend the night, it was so nice we just laid around all day and did nothing! Ordered pizza, chatted and watched about 5 movies I LOVE her dog she has a chocolate lab and he had just been fixed and I could not resist taking this picture... lol I am so mean
Then Monday before Sara headed to work we got lunch and then I went to pick up my rental car for my 6 hour drive to Toronto.
To be continued... BLOGGER ATE all the pics that go with this so I will ix it later... AAAHHH friggin blogger!
