So its been awhile

For some reason I would type out a post and it would not allow me to post it? I tried forever and finally gave up.. so I am working on whats been going on since August... Wow that will be a LONG post!

Teaching Classes

Well I would not say "classes" really but I am teaching 3 different people I have just met how to coupon this week.

Its so exciting!

Now I am not going to appear on extreme couponing by any means however I am pretty damn good!

Things have been interesting in our house, both the MIL and I have been looking for jobs in a market that is very unforgiving.

The medical bills are very overwhelming and HUGE because I do not know to many people with that amount of $$ cash laying around....

Oh well we plug along

Almost done with Cancer

I have a huge post that I am going to post to the Cancer blog.

Wow its been 8 months already.

Lots has happened.

1. Mother in Law moved in (which is a fabulous thing)

2. Last round of Chemo was yesterday

3. Had a FABULOUS job interview and waiting to hear about it on Monday

4. Lost 11 pounds and working on 30 more

5. WON a trip to Atlantis in the Bahamas (hence #4)

I miss blogging. So going forward I hope to keep posting and commenting!

Wow its been awhile

Lots going on in my life.

Its been a busy couple of months.

We are settling into being back in Kansas.

The hubbys mom moved in with us and its been fabulous.

I have been reading and catching up on blogs. My computer FINALLY died. It was a hand me down from when the hubs finished school so its 6 years old and it was on its last legs.

I have been keeping up on blogs but not lots of comments. I MISS BLOGGING!

So we will be back to our regular scheduled programing full of Dear so and so and What not to Wear Wednesdays.

YAY!

I'm alive just SUPER busy!! With PICTURES!

I went home to Canada and got to spend time with these 2 ladies!! My mom and sister!
Got to lay some smootches on my dad...
I learned that me and my godsons other god mother HAVE THE SAME TATTOO (how bizarre is that?)
Got to hug and hold my baby brother who I have not seen in 6 years....
Went out dancing and drinking with my baby sister.. so strange...

I got to meet a special new little man in my life...


I tried my skillzz on the one twos..
I got to hug and hold my friend Bryan who had a liver transplant last year (and yes I was so drunk the shutter on my camera did not open)
We meet the hubbys new oncologist..
I bid farewell to friends that have moved on to FABULOUS new jobs in different states....
Its been a busy few weeks! And I am just getting busier! I am so excited I am almost climbing out of my skin!!!

Things are good, I am still updating over on the Hubbys blog and things are going well with that. I miss blogging its such an outlet I will have to post more pictures soon!

I am too old to get into a fist fight at Target

#1 of the 4 part series

So I had a price adjustment I needed to get at Target (I had purchased something that was now on sale for a $10 difference and within 14 days you can get your money back)

Anywho...

I was waiting in line behind a lady who, when someone arrived at the counter she walked up THREW her bag down and said

"I want a full F%*king refund for this!"

I blink and try to understand what I just heard. I mean Target will give you a full refund on just about anything without batting a eyelash.

So I was a bit put off and because there was only one person behind the counter I stood with my mouth agape wondering what she will say next?

"And I want to speak to a MANAGER!"

Poor girl behind the counter "No problem let me call one"

The lady stands there breathing and sighing under her breath all loud.

Manager "Hi there, what can I help you with?"

"I WANT A REFUND for this and I also want to say that stupid IDIOT you have working over in electronics is useless blah blah"

Manager "Ok no problem let me just get someone with a key"

She calls another manager over

The free lady then calls me to the counter which needs the manager so we wait.

The second manager arrives and the lady loses it

"That stupid lard ass idiot over in electronics sold me this camera and never said it needed batteries and I want a full refund. He was rude, he seemed like he did not want to help me blah blah"

So as her story gets bigger I am now staring and a crowd has formed.

She then goes on "In fact I want you to call over that stupid lard ass f&*king idiot so I can yell at him and just tell him how stupid he is blah blah"

So cue crazy lady (that's me for all those still following)

"YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF!! HOW DARE YOU DISRESPECT SOMEONE YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT! I AM SORRY PRINCESS BUT THE WORLD DOES NOT REVOLVE AROUND YOU! THESE LADIES CAN NOT TELL YOU HOW RUDE AND CLASSLESS YOU ARE BUT I CERTAINLY CAN AND I AM SO EMBARRASSED FOR YOU! YOU ARE AN ADULT YOU SHOULD REALLY ACT LIKE ONE! DID YOUR MOTHER NOT TEACH YOU THAT??"

So the crowd has gotten much bigger (y'all know how quite I am) and she looks at me and puts her hand up and says to the manager "She better stop talking to me!"

And in the loudest,obnoxious,cheerleaderloud voice I SCREAMED

"OR ELSE WHAT!!!!!!!"

Now that I had the WHOLE stores attention

She calmly finished her transaction and walked away... As she did the crowd clapped.

I apologized to the ladies behind the counter for my outburst and it was so out of character for me but something needed to be said! And they all said "thank you" and one of the managers added that "You always think to say those things and to hear someone say them was refreshing" And I also apologized and for hers because lets face it she is not a good person and someone from the crowd yells

"You know the scary thing is that, that lady probably lives with someone?"

Everyone laughed

I then called the husband

"Honey if you get a call that I am in the hospital because some crazy lady ran me over in the Target parking lot, have them review the video"

Wow its been 2 weeks!

Lots going on and tonnes of blog material but by the time I get to sit down and type it all out it does not seem so interesting anymore.

I am working on a few blog post though that should be a big hit and the titles are as follows.

1. I am too old to get into a fist fight at Target

2. You should NEVER tell your manager to "Just fire you"

3. How you know you are bat shit crazy.

4. What do I know about breast pumps?

There are a few other good ones thrown in there too.

Chemo #5 is in the books

The new hospital is SO amazing!!

I am so glad everything worked out. I know I say it lots but EVERYTHING does happen for a reason.

I have had a lot of anxiety as we start up more chemo but now that the first one is in the books I am SO relieved!

Oh yes its all about the shoes!

So while I was in Vegas I teetered around on some pretty fabulous shoes.

It was almost 2 weeks before my feet recovered.

And I can not believe I am going to say this because I have discussed my "distaste" for ballet flats. I love them on everyone else but me.

But I have buckled. And they are SO in right now. And it helps that they are pretty fabulous too

And yes those are VERY yellow but I was SO drawn into them. And Dillards was having an insane sale the shoes were already marked down 70% PLUS you got another 40% off so basically they were paying me to take them away!

Have you ever noticed?

That when you hear something or plan something or something happens its all you ever hear about?

For instance. When we found out the hubby had Lymphoma Cancer we hear about it ALL the time.

On Sports center, on The Family Guy, on 3 & 1/2 men, in the magazines we pick up to read?

We laugh about it now but its just so strange?

Another time was when we found out we were moving to San Francisco.

It was on the movie we watched, we heard about it on the news, it was mentioned as travel plans on a TV show.

Does this ever happen to you?

I like to aim big!

So I was telling you about the head cold I had?

Well after 3 days of not being able to eat anything OR anything else staying in my body I finally gave in and went to the hospital.

Turns out I am an overachiever!

The head cold is a virus THEN I picked up ANOTHER virus that made me want to die.

But I have been given fluids and pain stuff for all the sore muscles from lack of liquids so hopefully I will be good soon!

WASH YOU HANDS PEOPLE! Serious the doctor was telling us it's an epidemic with people getting these flu like symptoms.

Dear Head Cold

Please go away! I know you are "pissed" that you can no longer breath in the ocean air every day. I miss it too! But you need to get over it!

3 weeks is a little excessive to hold a grudge.

You win.

I would just like to not have to blow my nose every second.

You SUCK!

Hello blogger there you are

I have been lacking in the blog area.

We are busing getting the new place set up.

And it feels good. It feels like we are right where we are supposed to be.

We have met with the new doctors and everyone seems fabulous! Chemo starts again next week and we learned that it will take us through July or August for the rest of treatment. It sucks but it is out of our control.

I have been busy decorating and having the hubby put up new drapes. I LOVE moving so you can redecorate everything. There are only about 3 boxes left to unpack and the back bedroom. That will take a bit to get together because its sort of been the dumping zone for everything.

We both go back to work on Monday. Its been amazing just hanging out with him during the day, going out for lunch and to the movies. I have been so spoiled!

Things are good.

And I am a happy camper!

We have arrived!!

Safe and sound.

The drive was EXHAUSTING hubby and I were both sick with colds since the day we left California we are still sick but we have been spending time relaxing and just enjoying NOT HAVING ANYTHING GOING ON!!

All the doctors appointments start again on Wednesday so they said chemo will start again next week. Because he is sick right now its perfect because they would probably not let him do chemo anyways.

Vegas was FABULOUS!!

And well needed. I had so much fun just dancing and hanging out with great friends.

Sorry if I am MIA for a bit. We move in less than a week (fun I know) and we just got results back that are not such great news. 8 more rounds of chemotherapy.. Ugg

Look out Vegas here we come!!

So I leave for Vegas on Monday. FOR A WEEK!!

The first 4 days are work related then on Thursday 5 girlfriends are flying in and we are doing Vegas BIG!!

I know 6 girls. Vegas.=GOOD TIME!!

I had doubts I was going to make the trip. When we found out about the Cancer I was going to cancel it all. But after we talked the hubby and I decided it was best for me to go.

So here is my Vegas mantra:
I am going to dance so hard my feet hurt, I am going to laugh so hard I cry, and I am going to drink so much THAT SOMEONE is going to puke!

Classy I know.

The hubbys sister is flying in to take him to his Chemo appointment. And I am having issues letting go.

I want to be there for him for everything. I so not want to miss an appointment, or treatment. So this is a big step for me.

To just let it go.

I have a love hate relationship with Kohls.

But I do love when I can go in and buy Vera Wang FABULOUS jeans for $5. And because they are work jeans the $5 splurge was warranted. PLUS they gave me %15 off for using my Kohls card.. Yeah I like that.

The ugly rivets on the back. Yeah they had to go.


So 2 minutes of removing rivets and $5 I have a great pair of work jeans!

Dear Lady last night:

When you act surprised when you first credit card is denied. I get it. I understand. But when you give me card number 2 and then 3 and those are also declined I tend to lose my sympathy and then when you give ME attitude and say "Well try this one then" under your breath.

Go screw yourself I am not the one with "issues" and when you ask for change for a $5 bill when your bill is over $80 and you barely paid that I am not too concerned with what you are going to leave me. I have already written you off.

And you should have kept the $2, obviously you need it more than me.

I get that you may not like your job. But just because I wanted to buy something that ONE OF YOUR ASSOCIATES told me was on sale for $1.24 and I ask you why you CHANGED the price to $4.99? On your own?
And you sigh under your breath and say "That's the marked price"
And I say "The price is for what ever it is scanning for correct"
And you say "No its what ever is marked"
And I pick up a pack of gum and say "Ok where is the price on this? Or this chocolate bar?"

And then your manager explains to you that the customer gets it for whatever it scans for and YOU CAN NOT JUST CHANGE THE PRICE TO HIGHER BECAUSE YOUR AN ASSHOLE.

And yes I went got back and got more. Just to spite you.

Dear Pizza Shop Owner:

I know your business sells coupons online for a fraction of what it costs. But you made that choice. And when a customer calls to see if "Because their husband has Cancer and is not supposed to be out in public places for a few days after chemo" would it be possible for me to come in and order the pizza and box it up and take it home even though the coupon says dine in? And you tell me "No"
And I say I will just come in and order in dine in then and then box it up.
And you say "No you are not allowed to take it home!"
And I plead to see if there was anyway (very nicely I may add) to make an exceptions.
And I ask that if I was coming in to use the coupon as "dine in" as it stats you would not allow me to take my left overs home?
And you say "THAT'S RIGHT!"

I hung up on you because your an idiot. And then we came into your restaurant and dined in and took our food home because we paid $2 for $25 and I wanted to use it. Even though after hearing the story my husband did not even want to go in and just "forget" the coupon.

Chemo round 3 in the books

So I saw my own family doctor today.

Yep I have some serious stress related anxiety. And the stuff they gave me worked a little but not for sleep, so I have not been sleeping properly.

So I went back to the doctor today and got something else for the sleep. Hopefully this will help.

And I am SUPER excited about my girls trip in Vegas in 2 weeks. I can not wait to hold my best friend in my arms!! To dance till I can not stand up anymore, to laugh till I cry and to do whatever else comes our way!

Extreme Couponing?

Did anyone else catch the show?

I was AMAZED and shocked that people would go on national TV and do this... I mean toilet paper for 30 years?

Now the high they talk about I know about because I did it for some time.. But I did not do it to stock pile 17 years of food in my garage I did it to donate it. And then when that failed I liquidated some of it to friends and some of it made it to the flea market.


I still will not buy it without a coupon or if its on clearance and I WISH I would have kept tabs. Actually its a new year I am going to start a spreadsheet to document the money we save.

We still get mostly everything we need for free or next to it and I feel so BLESSED to have been able to learn this and teach it to others so others can save too!

it just bugs me that of the 3 people shown only 1 of them actually talked about donation...

OMG!
