Happy Birthday to me!!

What? I do not have any cute burgundy ones yet?? these were TOO cute to pass up, its my birthday gift to myself.. Oh and Daisy got me the purse that matches PERFECTLY to the shoes.

I swear I have a gift I get an idea of a shoe in my head and then search for it for months. I do not settle on just anything, I must GASP at the prettiness of the shoe and get excited and do a little jig.... Ok maybe I need some help. But the purse is PREFECT for the shoes so I must have them both!

So perplexed

I received this in the mail today.

I have already read most of it front to back all the time thinking... "Who sent this to me?"

I KNOW it has to be Ms. Patty. She is the reason I started to run. She was the first person I ran a marathon with and she knows I loved it so much, but also how I had not really "run" since my marathon. Its not that I do not want to, the motivation is not there anymore.

See training for the marathon was a reason to get up at 6am and head out for a few miles. And after completing my 1/2 marathon my mission was accomplished. It felt so GREAT I still get tears in my eyes thinking about crossing that finish line.

So I email Ms. Patty a big thank you!! And she says it was not her. It is such a thoughtful gift that IT HAD TO BE PATTY and it was not.

I call the husband and say "Hey did you order me a subscription to Runner's World?

"Ummm, No I did not even know they had such a magazine... I mean maybe.... ha ha, No it was not me"

So now I am perplexed. And excited. Because

1. I LOVE this magazine and I feel the burn. You know that one where it feels like you can do anything you set your mind too.. I did it once I can do it again.

2. Its such a GREAT surprise from someone secret. For now. Till I get to the bottom of this.

And yes I did get on the web site to investigate and it does not give me any info, and customer service was closed. I am going to get to the bottom of this.

And to "whoever" it is.

Thank you

Mom's big chunk Chilli!

So I finally buckled and asked for the recipe. See we have a pot-luck at lunch the other day at work and this lady made chilli. It was not good. But it did give me the hankering for some REALLY GOOD chilli and I emailed my mom for her recipe.

Is it not funny how EVERYTHING is better when mom makes it? This is the first time I have tried her recipe on my own and so far so good!

The ingredients!! Its seems very easy to make

Everything getting thrown into the crock pot. My mom makes it on the stove old school, but she modified it for those who want a quick no hassle dinner.

Everything ready to go!!

2 hours later (only took 20 minutes prep time)

VOILA!!

And if I must toot my own horn it was AWESOME!!

Ok your thoughts?

So I have a gov job...

And all these people I work with (there is about 9 of us in the office) do this thing....

I get paid till 5pm. I leave at 5pm.

THEY ALL WAIT FOR EACH OTHER... And try to make me feel guilty that I do not.

Am I being rude? I mean I wait once in a while, but NOT EVERY friggin day.... The times I have waited I have not gotten out until like 5:15.

I don't know. At first it bothered me that they tried to make me feel guilty. I even asked my manager if we were required to stay and wait and she said "no" its just something they do.

Well I am paid till 5, I leave at 5.

What do you think?

Everything happens for a reason!

It's funny how we make some choices in our lives. And then months, sometimes years down the road we see what the "outcome" was for said event. We finally see the "whole" picture about where we found thew strength or courage to make a change even though we were scared to death about the outcome.

Remember this?

How I was scared to death but quit my job? The job that I hated but stayed at because it was the right thing to do?

Well tonight I was able to see the "whole" picture. I ran into one of the ladies I worked with. She was next in charge to my immediate manager.

The company I left is going under....23 of the 45 people at corporate have been laid off. (would have included my position) They have sold 19 stores and are closing 15 more at the end of the month.

I am sad for the people I worked with, some that I have kept in touch with and was wondering why emails had not been returned.....

But in reality it makes me feel better about leaving. I made the choice to leave and was not laid off, I was not put into a position where I was unexpectedly jobless.

And it was for the better..... And now I see

Antelope, Fishes and snakes oh my!

Hell has just frozen over!! A little anyways... Yep that is me with a gun and CAMOUFLAGE! In all honesty the event I was required to attend for work WAS SO much fun!! I got to teach people (serious, she who has not used a gun in 15 years TAUGHT children) how to use them. After a refresher of coarse.

I was at a Hunting and Fishing Expo and saw enough camo to make anyone sick. To be honest at first I was a little affraid, but to see SO MANY PEOPLE so passionate about our state and hunting, and wildlife preservation. It was really great.

This is my new boyfriend... shhhh don't tell the hubby!

This is a little bull nose snake I got to play with, its actually crawling down my arm when I took the picture...

Beautiful Wyoming

This little guy looked like he was waving "What's up?" Oh and Dixie this is a HORNY TOAD....

This was AMAZING to me, these guys who are all volunteers that I was able to work with are all over the age of 80 and LOVED to teach these kids to shoot. They are so passionate about guns and gun safety (they volunteer for The State Shooting Association) I think this picture says ALOT...

The hand gun with scope valued at $3600 that I was one number away from winning... They lady who did win it cried so I was excited for her.. but you can bet I came home and started to talk to the hubby about maybe getting a gun and learning to shoot it...

Who knew there were SO MANY types of Antelope.. I sure did not...

So many antlers so little time

I thought this was so cute

I snapped this shot driving by a gas station.. I thought it was so cute because I do this too with Daisy when I stop. I make sure she gets kisses and everything, this dog was so huge and what ever the guy was saying to him made him bark and kiss him over and over.. I was giggling this dog is SO huge!

Oh and I am back home from my "event" and I am preparing my post with LOTS of pictures!!

Thursday, September 11, 2008

Oh yes

Today I will be wearing camo. And not the cute kind.

This is a sad day.. Pictures to come.. If I remembered to bring my camera attachment!

The coolest Aunt EVER!!

This is just one of the cutest onesees I have found so far.

My BESTEST friend is having a baby boy and I am SO excited for her and her man!!!

Wednesday, September 03, 2008

Things that made me smile today:

1) 80 year old saying the words "Wow that's jacked up!"

2) Catching a little girl running like mad away from her dad giggling at the top of her lungs.

3) The phone call from Hubby that Florida "Is beautiful, but hot" Its 45 degrees today here in Cowboy country. So cold I have a coat on. In September. September 3rd. I almost turned on the heat last night. In September.

4) The Dove chocolate I ate that had the message inside that said "Keep the promises you make to yourself"

5) Thinking about hanging out with my dear friend Kelli last night. We just sat around had dinner and some laughs. I love spending time with friends like that. I miss spending time with friends like that. The no agenda date night with friends. It kills me she leaves in 16 days.

6) Thinking about the move. SO EXCITED!! Regardless of where it is to. Change is good. Its time.

7) Thoughts of hubby coming home tomorrow and date night on Friday.

8) The 3 compliments on my new $4 clearance Candies coat from kohls. Its so cute black trench coat with white polka dots. (I need to take a picture)

9) Taking the dog for a morning walk. It was awesome to just clear my head before heading to work. Not to mention the doggy kisses when we got back. Although it was COLD and she was shivering she loved it.

10) Girl at PT Job came in with her NEW baby... 6 pounds of beautiful little girl!!! I kissed her, and held her and she was SO CUTE...

Today is a good day.

Christmas in AUGUST!!

So me and a friend drove the 40 miles to a real mall today and you would NEVER BELIEVE what we found??

A NEW DSW!!! Opening soon less than 40 miles from me!! Can you tell how excited I am???

Oh and I bought these black and white ones twice... Yeah I bought them once before Vegas and then because I paid almost $40 for them (I rarely pay over $20-$30for shoes) and never took them to Vegas and they were so cute and they are Jessica Simpson shoes.. But I returned them. AND THEN I went back this week and they had been marked down AGAIN and still had my size for an additional 40% after being marked down 75% already. It was ment to be. They were $12.00.

And then I found these BEAUTIES for less than $30......

I do love me some shoes!! But even more I do love to get shoes on sale!!!

Updates

*School is not going to happen. I was schedualled to start yesterday and remember this? How I was worried about starting and then not being able to finish. I just got to thinking IT WAS A LOT of work and was not fair if I took advantage of the situation?

*Anyways. Work now knows I am leaving, I gave them my notice today so they can post my job. Because its a Gov position it takes FOREVER to hire someone.

*We have a tentative "idea" of where we may be moving. Its somewhere in Florida and I am SO excited!!

*My best friend is having a baby boy! And I am SO excited.

*My friend I went to Vegas with is moving September 19th and I am very sad about it. But we will always be friend so I am not so worried. And if we move to Florida then we will be closer to each other (she is moving to Dallas, TX)

*Project need to lose weight starts again September 1st. I have maintained for over 8 months so its time to step it up and start losing again.

But to sum it up. Life is good and I am blessed.

When "I told you so" is a little funny

This was on the way home from Mount Rushmore for our anniversary. Needless to say the hubby did not find it funny, but I could not stop giggling. I even went as far as to say "Well don't day I did not tell you to "maybe" slow down a bit."

His response "Your not helping"

You do have to find the humor in it really.... Oh and we were doing 82 in a 65. Well its one way to remember our 5 year wedding anniversary

Trip to Vegas

Was so much fun!! We started with pre-drinking at the airport and then after we were good and giggly I looked out the window to see this....

Which of coarse the only thing to do was BURST out laughing because "Really? Have I had THAT much to drink?"

We got a free upgrade at the hotel because we checked in so late and UMMM yeah lets just say the Tropicana has not been updated in about 40 years...

Yes that is us laying on the bed, and YES those are mirrors on the ceiling above the bed!

Sooo lets just day Friday night WAS SO FUN, in the morning I had a conversation that went like this with hotel security

"Hotel Security how can I help you?"

"Umm yeah, did you happen to find a random shoe in the hotel anywhere?"

"Which night mam and where do you think may have lost the shoe?"

"UUmmm I think it could be, well umm, anywhere from the front door to the 18th floor..."

**snickers*** "Lady what did the shoe look like?"

"Well its black in the back with a round toe and it fades into red, its fabulous really"

"Ok lets see.... Nope we have a silver pump, black slip on, black pump and pink, no red"

***BUST OUT LAUGHING*** "So you have gotten this call before?"

"Every day lady"

R.I.P beautiful red and black shoe. At least you did it big one more night and went out like a champ in Vegas... You will be sorely missed!!!

And OH YES it is COMPLETELY acceptable to sleep on the floor in the Las Vegas airport......

I am back from VEGAS!!

And I have many bruises to prove it!!

I am just hoping my body will forgive me for this one.... Update with pictures coming soon! Oh and not to disappoint there will be another "What not to wear to Vegas- Second Addition"

I need help

Yes they are a bit trashy but they are HOT.

Perfect for Vegas this weekend...

Oh yeah I am going to Vegas with a friend for the weekend... WEEEHOOO

Saturday, August 09, 2008

Oh to be a six year old!!

True story:

I walk up to one of my tables tonight and this little boy (who I later find out is 6 years old) asks me

"Hey you, whats your name?"

"My name is Random, what is your name?"

"Well Random MY MOMMY SPANKS ME ALOT!!!!!"

I bust out laughing so loud anyone that can see me is now staring at me, and at my table. This little boy is SO PROUD he just announced to a COMPLETE stranger that his mommy spanks him ALOT.

When I am done laughing and the shock on the mom's face has worn off, she says to the little boy.. "Tell her WHY you have been getting lots of spankings"

"I am a VERY bad boy"

Later in the evening he is waiving his hands frantically and calling my name..

"Random, random can I sing you a song?"

"Sure I would love for you to sing me a song"

"I LIKE BIG BUTS AND I CAN NOT LIE"

He did the dance and everything..... 6 years old, I wonder what he will be like in 5 years!

I need to get back to the gym.....

Live it!

Each day is a gift, so live it like you stole it....

Just my motto for the day. Its funny how you can go through some days without giving a second though to your health, your well being.

And then something sets you off.

Say a phone call from the boob surgeon and for some reason they hang up.

And then your head does that thing where you FREAK THE HELL out? Yeah and you start thinking
"Maybe they got your results messed up and need you to come in right away" (you see it all the time in the movies)
"Maybe its REALLY worse than they thought and need to see you RIGHT away?"

Anyways. It was nothing.

But sure makes me want to live for today!

I am an official college student

Friggin hell.

So yep. Testing done and REGISTRATION done... But now I understand why so many people are in debt from school.

Holy batman its expensive! So this community college for a 3 credit course is $375 NOT including books.

For 3 credits!

SO I am still trying to decide if I am going to do a full course load or not. Its SO expensive so I think for now I will just be taking classes for work.

And then my guilty conscience is thinking "Why are you bothering?" seeing how we are moving probably before the end of the semester.

But I can not tell work that... ** sigh**

I am going back to school!

Friday, August 01, 2008

OMG y'all

MOST.PAINFUL.MORNING.EVER!!!

It all started innocent enough, woke up, jumped in the shower and then BAM my first muscle spasm in FOREVER. And we are not talking just any kind of muscle spasm. THIS ONE KICKED MY ASS SO HARD I BARFED! It was THAT painful.

Oh and while barfing I got one in my shoulder. That was fun.

Then I called work and explained due to barfing (and the runs that would follow) I would not be making it in.

Then I laid down thinking I would go back to sleep.

Yeah right, spasms EVERYWHERE. So I googled it and it seems that yesterday morning I drank milk and spasms happen from Calcium build ups and I need vitamin C that and water.

Who knew?

Friggin hell though this sucks ass, I can not even walk to the bathroom without a spasm somewhere.

Oh and I am not as stupid or silly as I look. Except with math... yeah I did my college placements tests yesterday and GUESS WHAT???

I read, write and my grammar (yeah right) is "At or ABOVE a college level" however my math.. not so much... I even laughed out loud at one of the questions and the little old lady that was doing the testing just said "guess at it, everyone else does"

I sure do love me some DEALS!!

So I ventured out to Big Lots and because a Rite Aid in our area went out of business THEY HAD STUFF 90% off!!!

.33 cents!!! For NAIL POLISH! Oh and lip sticks too, and I got some Cloraseptic spray

The nerve.. Ha ha.. I will wear them a color on each finger and toe!!

Conversations with the hubby

Story 1:

Me "Hey babe, can you put the laundry from the washer into the dryer? I am too lazy to get out of bed"

Hubby "Sure..... (moments pass) Umm should I hang up this bra for you? So as to not leave you with any more blog materials about how I ruin your shit?"

Story 2:

Hubby "Have you seen that guy at the PT job that you had a run in with?"

Me "Yeah we worked together the other night, you would have been proud of me?"

Hubby "For what?"

Me "Well he asked for help? And the 5 year old in me wanted to rub it in his face that he was a horrible server and he sucked blah, blah but I took the high road. I did what he asked for help with and said nothing more"

Hubby "Wow babe, why did he ask for help?"

Me "Cause he was in the weeds"

Hubby "In the weeds... is that some term you made up? Or is it something known between servers?"

Me "All servers know that term, why would you think I made it up?"

Hubby *snickers* "So if I walked into a restaurant and a server was busy and I asked "Are you in the weeds" they would know what I was talking about?"

Me "YES, they would.. ha ha.. I am going to google it! See In the weeds is on Wikipedia"

Hubby "Just cause its on Wikipedia does not mean its common restaurant verbiage!"

Me "Oh I am SO going to blog about this!"

Saturday, July 19, 2008

Did I ever tell you something?

I NEVER clean.

Well its not that I NEVER clean, its just when choosing a husband I seemed to have scored the lottery in husband choosing and HE DOES ALL THE CLEANING!!

Serious.

Vacuums. Baseboards the whole 9 yards.

Oh and he is GOOD... VERY GOOD. He has however been banned from laundry and dishes. Well dishes he WILL NOT DO!! He would eat off of paper plates and forks if we had them in the house. He HATES dishes. And I volunteered to do laundry after a little incident with my bras (what with DD those bitches need to be cleaned properly as to avoid have to spend a million dollars to get new ones that fit again)

It is so seldom that I am even aloud to clean (I do not do it to his specifications) I fought for the right to clean the house today.

Yep and I won.

So what does the wife of the cleaner do on the day she agreed to clean the whole house while the hubby it out.

She sleeps till 7pm!! WTF people. Serious I can not go out and party like I used to...

Off to clean I go!! Oh and the other day the hubby was talking about how he would LOVE a Dyson and I agreed it would be nice and the conversation went like this

Hubby"Babe, we should get a Dyson"

Me "Oh thats a good idea, but $500 for a vacume cleaner? We should wait until we buy our house"

Hubby "It sure would be nice is all I am saying"

Me "Well we have out 5 year anniversary coming up, how about we buy it as a "couples" gift for ourselves!"

Hubby "Babe, serious when are YOU ever going to use it"

Goats for hire!!

So umm yeah, when you live in a small town they do not like to invest in landscaping... So they hire goats!!
These little white fences are up everywhere and filled with goats!!
So strange!!

Wednesday, July 16, 2008

I have no filter..

So umm yeah. If I do not like you, you would know.

For instance I worked the PT job tonight at the restaurant, and I am not saying I am a super star server or anything but I can certainly hold my own.

Well they hired this new guy. He is old. And he is HORRIBLE! For the last 3 shifts I have worked with him I have been "required" to pick up one of his tables.

Tonight one of his tables sat there for 15 minutes!! When I finally (they were eyeballing me) went over to get their orders and to throw in a little jab "How long have you been waiting?"

10 minutes people!! That is not acceptable, so I approach said server and inquire..

"Are you going to talk to table 37?"

""Umm yeah I am going there right now"

"Well don't worry about it, I already served them their drinks, salads, and their appetizer should be out in a minute"

**blank stare from horrible server*** ***Blink**** Blink****

AND THEN HE HAS THE NERVE TO GET MAD AT ME!!!

Dude serious, if I have had time to

a) Get their drink order
b) Bring their drinks
c) Get their food orders
d) Serve their salads
e) Order their food

So I told him as much and he was PISSED. I have to add that I took get pleasure in watching him squirm (you knew it had to be a guy, too proud to ask for help)

And then he yells out "I AM A BETTER SERVER THAN YOU EVER WILL BE"

Which much giggling ensued on my part, as well as anyone else listening....

I did what any other self respecting adult would do and asked him

"Would you like a tissue? Are you going to be ok?"

Saturday, July 12, 2008

Ok so what would you do?

I had to leave early this morning for work, we have an early meeting every Thursday. The hubby usually leaves for work earlier than me, its rarely me out the door first...

Anywho...

In my frantic mess to get out of the house I grab my purse, my cell phone off the charger and I am on my way... I notice I have enough time to stop for breakfast and whip out my cell phone just to make sure and notice I have a text message that reads

OMG I HAVE to see you.. meet me in the routunda~

Hummm then I notice THE PHONE IS MY HUSBANDS PHONE AND WHO THE HELL IS TEXTING HIM AT 6:45am saying THEY HAVE TO SEE HIM!!

So I take a breath and think of my next move~~ (I must add that my ears ARE SMOKING) and the crazy, psycho women that lies in all of us came to the surface!!!

Don't look at me like that you know what I am talking about...

Yeah her...

I do what any rational women would do and call home just in time to catch him and "inquire" as to who is texting him from a (832) area code?

He of coarse had NO IDEA, who or what I was talking about. And then worried that he needed his phone for the day and asked how far I was...

Well seeing I was almost to work FREAKING THE HELL OUT (because you have all seen it in the movies or on TV that when a man is cheating and lying to his wife she is usually to naive to notice, that or she is cheating herself.....)

Anyways I digress... When I get to work I text THIS BITCH who is texting my husband that she needs to see him!

Me "Who is this?"

"Oh is this not Saia?"

Me "No"

"Oh my bad"

Me "You still did not say who this was"

"Its Dennis"

So the rational calm women in me thinks "Oh that's smart, nice cover up bitch pretending to be a man so I am off your sent"

I google the phone number to see where it was coming from. (Crazy I know)

Then.... I call from my toll free number from work and sure enough a man named Dennis picked up....

So umm yeah... Wrong number...

And then the hubby comes to pick up his phone and I quickly confess to my crazy shenanigans with the texts and phone calls... And yeah.... I was a crazy lady for about an hour...

He found this VERY amusing to say the least, so he gets his phone and starts flipping through it to see the texts I sent and that were sent back.

And he realizes this (me )crazy bitch erased them because I was trying to hide the evidence of how stupid and jealous (we are talking HUGE jealous and that is SO not like me!) I was at the time....

And then he jokes back with me

"Thanks for my phone, that girl is good I have to go so I can call Denise back"

Jackass... But I love him.

Don't let mom do the wedding invitations!

Ok and one more funny.....

Proof that Men Have Better Friends...

Friendship among Women:
A woman didn't come home one night. The next morning
she told her husband that she had slept over at a
friend's house. The man called his wife's 10 best
friends. None of them knew anything about it.

Friendship among Men:
A man didn't come home one night. The next morning he
told his wife that he had slept over at a friend's
house. The woman called her husband's 10 best friends.
Eight confirmed that he had slept over, and two said he was still there.

Only in a small town...

Ummm I have no words.... And this whole no helmet law in my state REALLY scares me...

Saturday, July 05, 2008

Did you say pictures?

So I have been a very busy bee.
With stuff going on in the personal life (no worries everything is fine) working 2 jobs and the hubby FINALLY being home until August I have let blogging slide.

But I am back, and I will be posting on a more regular schedule moving forward.. and catching up on blogs because I have been a bad blogger... So for my 3.5 readers.. without further adu

This is what I have been up to... A friend that I previously worked with asked me to do some boudoir photos of her for a grooms gift. Her hubby is a mechanic and everyone has girly posters hanging up in their "offices" and she wanted to do a fun calender for him, and seeing how when we worked together I was always talking about how much I love to take pictures ect. ect. She thought of me.
Here are a few that made it (that I can actually post..ha ha)

It was a very impromtu session if you can call it that, so the lighting and "props" so to speak were a but meager, I would have LOVED to have done something a little bit more staged but I was pleased with the end results...
This one is one of my favs!! What guy does not love a girl in his favorite teams jersey??

And then my friend Kelli and I went to her wedding... And to put it nicely we were a bit overdressed for the occasion...
The bride was BEAUTIFUL!!

(thats Kelli at the top and me on the bottom...for a limited time only....)

The bride's son walked her down the isle and gave her away it was so precious!

What Not to Wear- Beer Festival version

I wonder what this little girl in the pink dress so mesmerized by? Her mom with the same look of shock on her face.... (we later talked to her mom and her mom was grossed out by the people as well)

Wait for it....

She is looking at these people....

So this lovely couple were a bit "scary" to say the least. This festival was full of familys with lots of kids running around and these folks thought it would be ok to let their asses hang out.

Oh and I say plural because about every 10 minutes she would lift his skirt showing his bare (hair I may add) ass to the crowd.

G.R.O.S.S!! (Oh and I was going to crop out their heads but her facial expressions gives a lot to what we were witness to that evening..

And then there is the lady with the FOX HEAD on her purse. Oh yeah nothing screams I am a classy lady like a fox head.... Or squirrel it was hard to tell

And this guy would not be my friend. Yep brought his snake out to the bear tents...

I took many more pictures but these were the best.... I wish I was quicker because there were quite a few pictures I missed that would have given you a chuckle!!

Thursday, June 26, 2008

A little scared... Yep.

SO I am going back to school...

My new job requires that I take some courses for my job. And they pay. And the classes are during the day when I should be at work.

SO I am getting PAID to go to college, for classes that are 100% paid for.

SWEET DEAL if you ask me. And what a blessing.

I was having inner conflicts with myself about if I should tell them I was leaving in December or not, I was seriously worried about what to do. But then I though ANYTHING can happen from now until then.
So I am going to go. And get great grades.

AND I AM SCARED TO DEATH!! School seriously?

The goodness in people

It still amazes me to think about it.

The hubby was home this weekend and we went out to the movies then out to do a little shopping. Well we were at the JC Penny's and the hubby used the rest room and removed his watch to wash his hands.

Well we did not realize he lost his watch until 9:30pm and the store was closed.

It was not so much he lost the watch it was what the watch meant to him.

I gave it to him, and upset as he was I did not want to interject that I was a little upset too. I bought him that watch almost 7 years ago now.

I bought it when we were in different countries waiting to get married. I sent it with a note that said "Regardless what time zones we are in my love will always be with you"

We wrote it off because both we certain it was gone. It was a $230 watch when I bought it 7 years ago.

Its a nice watch.

On a whim this morning I went to JC Penny's. I asked if they had a lost and found and the lady asked what was lost.

She had the watch.

I was so SHOCKED really. I mean anyone could have taken it, but no someone out of the goodness of their heart returned it...

I like people.....

And then at work at the restaurant job tonight I had a table that could not pay.

Yep they ordered food and could not pay. 2 credit cards declined and then one of the ladies left to "go to the ATM machine" and when she got back she had no money.

She was given the ultimatum by the manager, either she paid their bill ($70) or we had to call the police and all 3 of them would be arrested for theft.

She started crying (I had nothing to do with the whole conversation) and she called a friend and was asking to borrow money. Well the manager let her talk and her friend could not lend her money.

Anyways long story short and 3 hours later I told my manager I did not feel right calling the police over $70 and I would just pay the bill.

I told him it would all come back to me and I was not worried. They made a bad choice (and they were older people too, like in their 40's) and it did not make sense to get the police involved.

He said they needed to learn a lesson and I explained we would let any other guest pay for another table what is the difference. Anyways on my way out one of the ladies returned (the other 2 were held ransom while she left) and paid the bill.

And left me a $20 tip. My manager was FLOORED and I explained Its the Karma.

Busy week!!

So by the end of the day tomorrow I will have logged 68 hours for the week.

Yep I am BEAT!!

Oh and I have a funny story about drama at the restaurant job. Yeah I lost my cool, called my manager a fucking asshole, then told him he has no idea what he is doing.

Did I get fired?

No, but I tried REALLY hard and I will probably get the "talking to" about the situation from my GM and thats fine. I was right and he was wrong. I was wrong for talking to him like that and I know that, and I maybe feel a little bad about it. Maybe it was a little childish because EVERYONE heard me.

But I was right and he was being an asshole! I mean RAW food went out to my table, not once but twice. THE SAME TABLE!! And he would not buy this lady her food.
I fought him like hell about it. I even offered to pay for it out of my OWN pocket because of how wrong it really was. His defense was "I talked to her about it and shes fine"

He still made her pay for her RAW FUCKING FOOD. He would not even let me offer them free deserts. Yep the other night we had a table of 4 that ordered drinks and appetizers and when they found out we were out of a specific item they made a HUGE fuss and he paid for $60 worth of shit and they left anyways...

Yeah no logic. We feed a lady raw food 2 TIMES but because she is "fine" and does not make a huge scene we make her pay??

I treated myself...

So I took all your advice and went book shopping.

Thank you all for your suggestions. Here are the 2 I bought FULL PRICE, and I put that in caps because lets face it I have not paid FULL PRICE for a book in A LONG TIME.

In my defense I did get them at Target and they were 25% off.

First is The Tao of Pooh from My Brand Of Crazy's List. To be honest when I went to look at books I had no idea what I was looking for. I think a little bit of fate put this book in my hands. I had never heard of it, then I saw it and the title and I think it was meant to be.

Also I got Such a Pretty Fat by Jen Lancaster. I bought one of her books called Bitter Is The New Black and its a memoir as well as this one and I was laughing so hard at some parts I was crying so I am looking forward to this one.

AND THEN I am going to give them away. Yep. Pass it on!! I will have to think of a way to do it, maybe just a random draw for who ever is interested.

I do love me some books!!!

I need something to read!!

Any suggestions?

I just started one and its in my desk at work, I read on my breaks to just "get away" also because I do not really know anyone close enough in my office to break with yet.

Although I did go walking with a couple of this last week which was nice... But as the weather starts to get warmer out I am not sure how much walking I will be doing.

Also we have this GORGEOUS courtyard that has shade and the sun in the middle of our building so its the perfect place to sit out and read for a bit.. to lose yourself.

Anyways I suspect I will be finished my book in a couple of days and I have not treated myself to a new book in awhile....

So recommend away!!!! The only thing I will NOT read is romance... Nope I have tried, I have tried MANY authors and nothing... NEVER again...

I HATE the IRS!!

They are a bunch of assholes!

Serious.

So yeah, just because life is fun enough EVERY year since we have been married we have been AUDITED.

And we owe.

To the tune of $771.

And it sucks ass. Because you know everyone has an extra $771 laying around.

AAAKKKK.

But thats life. And I am SURE every year moving forward we will have our little run in with the IRS. And I wish it was some great story about how we "tried" or "cheated" (something we would NEVER intentionally do) the IRS out of money. But its so frustrating. We are small fish really. We do not make millions, we pay taxes OUT THE ASS all year, our refund this year was almost $3000 so needless to say they are making interest on out money.

The 2006 tax year. Yeah they audited us and we owed $11.79.

But its our fault. Stupid stuff gets missed and then they come back to us.. Oh and for shits and giggles I went through out return we just did. Oh and I found 2 letters that we forgot to include when we filed from when we opened our new bank accounts when we moved. Yeah we both got $50 for opening a new account.

Guess what we forgot to include.... Friggin Frig!!

Oh well the only sure things in life are Death and Taxes...

This was the car that my sister was in...

They are all really lucky.

She is doing well. She is REALLY upset about her boyfriend which is to be expected. He is still back in the hospital and she is being the a silly girl, saying that she does not want to get well unless he does because its not worth fighting for.....

I pray for all of their families it will be a long road to recovery..

Day One:

Went well.

I can do this for 6 months...lol

The people I work with seem really nice, I was WAY over dressed today sporting a blazer, dress pants a blouse and of coarse FABULOUS shoes...

Yeah this place can not HANDLE my shoes!! Serious I could just see their faces me showing up in my bright pink shoes and purse...lol They are already "talking" about my outfit today. To be honest I did look pretty sharp even some of the "bigger ups" asked if they could help me when they ran into me in the hallway.

I do make a mean first impression!!

My only thing I HATE about new jobs is your talents are going to waste. ESPECIALLY in a gav setting. I mean don't get me wrong I am very blessed and thankful for this new job but its SO SLOW!! Everything. Everyone. I swear I spent 6 of the 8 hours of work listening to chit chat, talking about new movies.....

Contests and free stuff!!!

Ok remember this??

I was going to send a book to whoever wanted? Well I only had 2 takers and the books are going out tomorrow!!!

Weehoo.

So Whim and Princess are going to get their books this week.

Anyone else want one??

There should be a disclamer!!

DO not go into the grocery store when your hubby has just left for over a week.

Full week 1/2.

No weekends due to his cousins wedding and him visiting his mom and friends in California.

You will purchase:

*Kraft dinner (that your dog will not even touch)
*Ravioli
*Fries
*Gravy
*Ice cream
*Frozen Pizza
*Cookies
*Muffins

Yep I am in for the long haul. Maybe its also that I start my new job tomorrow and I am not sure how all that is going to go.

Don't get me wrong I am SUPER excited to start the new job, but more to wear all my shoes than to be working 9-5 again. Its a great position that I will probably do pretty good in, and going in knowing I will only be there for 6 months makes it way easier.

9-5 here I come!!

"OMG Becky look at her but!!!"

The funniest thing EVER happened last night. Went out with the hubby to see his friend play in a band at a local bar.

It was a country bar so we stayed for a few sets and then headed to the "club" we like to go to.

Well my friend was BUSTING it on the dance floor when all of a sudden she looks at me..

"Dude I just split my pants!!"

"What? Your kidding right" As I burst into tears laughing and check to ensure she busted her pants "thinking" it would only be a small hole.

Nope split from the ass to her knee.

I was laughing so hard I was crying. Serious. She tried to look at me a few times and tell me it was not funny but laughed just as hard.

So we shimmy back to the hubby who is so kind as to remove his shirt (he was wearing a button down) to give to her to "escort" her and her bare ass out of the club.

It was SO funny..... And I am glad it was not me.. Although I must say that it had happened to me many moons ago when I was wearing some silver leather pants...Oh yeah all class us ladies.

All class!

I love this dog!!

Voila!

The new pretties!! I LOVE these shoes but I refused to buy them because they were $135, I had even tried them on in hopes that they would "talk to me and I would HAVE to have them... Nope I refused. And then 3 months later I find them, only one pair. My size. On clearance for an additional %40 off. For $22.00.

Patience is a virtue!!

And then I bought both of these fabulous shoes months ago and I was trying so hard to find a purse or even a shirt to go with them and I have not had much luck! Until yesterday when I walked into TJMAXX (another of my fav stores) and found this Jessica Simpson Purse that I once eyed months ago for $99.00.

On clearance $32.00. And its a PERFECT match!!

Finding deals and things I "need" really excites me. It rarely happens that I would find 2 GREAT deals in a week..... WEEHOO for me!

A morning off!!

So this morning I did not have to work. I told them I "would" if they needed me but lunches kind of suck and they never called so I headed out to Colorado to do some shopping..

I took Daisy with me too because she LOVES the car and it was so nice out.

I FOUND THE MOST PERFECT PURSE!!! I will post pictures too.. Oh and I bought shoes the other day I forgot about, when I found out about the new job and the fact that I am now going to be able to wear all my fabulous shoes to work I am getting REALLY excited!!

I have started putting outfits together in my head.

Oh and now I am on the mission to nail down a dress for my friends wedding in 3 weeks. I know, I know I am leaving it to the last minute but I was hoping to lose some more weight before the big day seeing how I was not looking forward to being a cow in all her wedding pictures (I am in the wedding party) I may put the dress to a vote seeing how I can not make up my mind...

Another 4 bite the dust!!

6 call in's this morning.....

Oh yeah work is fun!! (can you note the sarcasm in my voice?)

So one of the 6 that called in was out drinking last night and stupid buddy, RAN INTO YOUR MANAGER hammered off your ass and then you call in the next day.

One girl was a no call no show for the 3rd time in less than 3 weeks. She always comes in for her next shift and walks around like "What? Was I supposed to be here?" So shes gone.

Remember this?
4 people got canned? Well there were 2 left from their "group" so to speak, all really good friends and one of the call outs was "Jack" and when he called out (they were waiting for a reason) they fired him. And then the last one "Jill" was not even mature enough to call and quit and just did not show up....

And the managers made no questions about it. There are still more to come.

I am just going to set up a bed in the dry storage seeing how I worked 62 hours this week. Oh and thats even with a day off. This coming up week I imagine will not be any better....

Oh well, its a blessing in disguise really. I get to work as much as I want. The money has been great, the people I work with now are actually FUN. And the fact that I am working so much I am certainly not spending any money for now....

But I tell you what.. My first day off will be a shoe shopping day FOR SURE!!!

The road to recovery...

So I have the update on my sister.

She is home for now. They were able to reconstruct her bowel so thats a HUGE relief. She is having lots of problems with the nerves in her left arm. She has feeling but no pulse? If that makes any sense. They are doing nerve testing in the next week to find out how bad the damage is. This is the arm she broke her collar bone and neck thing in.. (really technical I know)

Her boyfriend was sent home only to be immediately rushed back to the hospital, he is out of his coma but has "tried" to be a tough boy and not complain about the pain. Which in his situation is a stupid thing to do, his leg and spine were crushed but it looks like he will be able to walk in a year or so with enough physio and therapy.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers
