Look out Vegas here we come!!

So I leave for Vegas on Monday. FOR A WEEK!!

The first 4 days are work related then on Thursday 5 girlfriends are flying in and we are doing Vegas BIG!!

I know 6 girls. Vegas.=GOOD TIME!!

I had doubts I was going to make the trip. When we found out about the Cancer I was going to cancel it all. But after we talked the hubby and I decided it was best for me to go.

So here is my Vegas mantra:
I am going to dance so hard my feet hurt, I am going to laugh so hard I cry, and I am going to drink so much THAT SOMEONE is going to puke!

Classy I know.

The hubbys sister is flying in to take him to his Chemo appointment. And I am having issues letting go.

I want to be there for him for everything. I so not want to miss an appointment, or treatment. So this is a big step for me.

To just let it go.

So I am excited to spend time with this girl!

Chemo round 3 in the books

So I saw my own family doctor today.

Yep I have some serious stress related anxiety. And the stuff they gave me worked a little but not for sleep, so I have not been sleeping properly.

So I went back to the doctor today and got something else for the sleep. Hopefully this will help.

And I am SUPER excited about my girls trip in Vegas in 2 weeks. I can not wait to hold my best friend in my arms!! To dance till I can not stand up anymore, to laugh till I cry and to do whatever else comes our way!

Life is good and I am thankful

Yes this is how I pack.. A little messy now that I look at the picture and I am proud to say that I only brought 7 pairs of shoes. For 4 days. I am SO getting better at this!!

Trip to Vegas

Was so much fun!! We started with pre-drinking at the airport and then after we were good and giggly I looked out the window to see this....

Which of coarse the only thing to do was BURST out laughing because "Really? Have I had THAT much to drink?"



We got a free upgrade at the hotel because we checked in so late and UMMM yeah lets just say the Tropicana has not been updated in about 40 years...

Yes that is us laying on the bed, and YES those are mirrors on the ceiling above the bed!


Sooo lets just day Friday night WAS SO FUN, in the morning I had a conversation that went like this with hotel security

"Hotel Security how can I help you?"

"Umm yeah, did you happen to find a random shoe in the hotel anywhere?"

"Which night mam and where do you think may have lost the shoe?"

"UUmmm I think it could be, well umm, anywhere from the front door to the 18th floor..."

**snickers*** "Lady what did the shoe look like?"

"Well its black in the back with a round toe and it fades into red, its fabulous really"

"Ok lets see.... Nope we have a silver pump, black slip on, black pump and pink, no red"

***BUST OUT LAUGHING*** "So you have gotten this call before?"

"Every day lady"


R.I.P beautiful red and black shoe. At least you did it big one more night and went out like a champ in Vegas... You will be sorely missed!!!


And OH YES it is COMPLETELY acceptable to sleep on the floor in the Las Vegas airport......

I am back from VEGAS!!

And I have many bruises to prove it!!

I am just hoping my body will forgive me for this one.... Update with pictures coming soon! Oh and not to disappoint there will be another "What not to wear to Vegas- Second Addition"

Vegas recap

Here we are... me, Steve, and Caroline....

It was so much fun.... We headed out to Pure nightclub at Caesar's palace on Friday night when I got there and they were closed for renovations so they gave us VIP passes to the new club at the Luxor called LAX. The club was INSANE!! huge really dark so totally LA its actually the sister club to the one in LA. Drinks were a million dollars and I so wish you could have seen how some of these people were dressed (or not dressed depending on how you look at it)

I am forever learning that I can not drink like I used to... We all drank our faces off then puked the next day... none of us are really sure how it all happened really?

We did a little site seeing when we all recovered from our hangovers. We checked out the new Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino


It was really nice, very modern. We talked a bit about how the Aladdin lost business after Sept 11th due to the "Middle East" theme it had. Well that's what the papers said anyways.....

We actually went out to my favorite restaurant and it was actually a VERY uncomfortable situation. We were actually called names for being white. Yep. You read that correctly. We were glared at and called "crackers" Very interesting. I will save that for another post.

Gotta love Vegas... you can drink beer at Mc Donald's

All in all it was a great 2 days, there is nothing like some quality time, with good friends and good food!!

Off to Vegas BABY!!
