After 15 years

I am not saying this for pity. Or sympathy. We all have our stories and our lives. This is a little piece of mine.

So a long time back. Almost 15 years to the day to be exact I had a family take a chance on me. I was 15 and moving out of my parents house.
1. Because they were going through a terrible divorce.
2. Because I LOVE my mom but could not live with her any longer.

They took a chance. They rented to someone who was 15 years old, working 3 jobs and going to high school full time. I will always remember that family. They could have said no. They could have requested that I not be placed with them. They took that chance with me. I mean who would agree to let someone who was 15 live with them, on their terms paying rent going to school..... Who would set her up and teach her the things she needed to know, give her things she needed to "get on her feet"?

Matt got the place. He moves in Monday. I am SO happy for him. He is a good kid and is doing the right thing. I had the blessing to meet his pregnant girlfriend today. She is only 15. They are MADLY in love. They are both good kids. Her parents drink and are abusive. His mom is in an abusive relationship, the love they have for each other will get them through. To see these kids so in love and so excited about what the future holds. So excited to stop the cycle. So excited to see that there is more to life than to be let to be beat down everyday emotionally and mentally.... I can only see the surface of the abuse they have both experienced, and I can never understand totally what they have both endured.

Please pray for them. They need this! And I am also excited about what the future holds for them. I think with a little help and some prayers theses kids will see that the future is good. People are good and in fact they; with their love can stop the cycle of abuse. They are both so excited to venture on this journey together. Him already the dotting dad not wanting his pregnant "wife" to work, already having had set aside the money for the birth (only 3 months in) to also cover an complications that arise.
Good kids.
Smart kids.
Finally getting a break.
The landlords agreed to let him pay only 1/2 the deposit and the rest of rent and deposit on the 5ht of the month.
They were sure to state that they NEVER do this.

They took me for my word. And for that I am proud. Having know Matt for 3 days, sometimes you just know about someone.........

Sometimes you just get that feeling about someone

So there is this kid I work with, lets call him Matt (not he real name) I have a good feeling about this kid.
We were off work one night and I noticed him start to walk and I yelled at him "Where did you park"
He explained he did not have the car tonight his girlfriend did so he was just going to walk home. At first he refused my ride and because it was so cold I insisted he take the ride. He kept saying he did not live very far.
Turns out the poor kid walks 1 hour to work and back to his HOTEL. Folks this 18 year old kid was staying in a hotel and pays $1400 a month for it because this podunk town will not rent to him because he is only 18.
Anyways the reason he lives in a hotel is his mother threw him out.
Why?
Because her boyfriend beats her and he stood up for her and for "getting involved" she threw him out on the car ride to the hospital to fix her broken arm.
Yep.
So I called in a favor to my land lords. Not sure if I ever told you about them, they are like 80 and super nice but very leary as they have had a few people take advantage of them and the last people they evicted from the open apartment owes them $1800.
I told them I would vouge for this kid. I barely know him but he seems like good kid.
Also turns out his girlfriend is pregnant and he is putting away money for when the baby is born, I have yet to be REALLY wrong about someone and I am going out on a limb for the kid with our landlord but you know, some times people just need a break.
I also told him until he is back on his feet he could borrow our spare bed that is collecting dust until he is up and running again.
And towels and sheets because LORD knows I have enough to go around....
The landlords said he can not move in until May because they want to meet him, ect and I called them back to again vouge for the kid and they are going to have a friend interview him so he can get the keys hopefully by this weekend.....
Fingers crossed folks, I hope this all works out.

I miss the hubby...

He is in Atlanta for the week for work. And today because of the time change and the fact that he is in meetings all day we have not been able to talk.
And I miss him.
So does Daisy, she sat up last night until almost 3am in her bed by the door to see if he would come home, when he did not she finally got into bed with me, it almost seems like she is moping around too.. Do you think she misses him? Its so strange I have even spoiled her with extra walks and even took her in the car today to "lift" her mood....
He'll be back Friday night so only 3 more sleeps!!!

Busy, Busy, Busy!!

I got another job. I did what I said I was going to do and I went back to my roots. I am really excited about it too. I am working at a GREAT restaurant and the people I work with are really laid back and almost already feel like family. I have also still been working my Part-time gig so I have had barely time to do laundry and check email. It feels good to be back in the zone.

You know how I always say everything happens for a reason. I had NEVER read this until today, it really makes sense to me now...

This post got my panties in a bunch!!

So Deutlich posted about men and sexual harassment. Being a women with DD's since I was 17 I can TOTALLY feel her pain.

Now before I post my comment to her post I have to tell you this comment has much swearing in it as it should because it is very fitting from a time that I was sexual assaulted. This is one of the only times in my life that I saw RED. Even just posting this I have broken out in stress hives...

Ok go read THIS POST its called keep your dick to yourself!! I will wait..... She is really a great writer and I seem to get caught up quite a bit in what she writes...

Ok this is my comment:

Once upon a time there was this girl named Random. She was a bartender and LOVED her job it was her part time gig.. she was good at it too. The particular bar she was working at had a "perverts row" not a strip club she called it that because on the way to the ladies bathroom the men would line up as if they were in a strip club and oggle the ladies...
Anyway one day the bar was full and young Random needed to pee so as she was walking passed perverts row, motherfucker reached out and grabbed Randoms boob. Well having 3 brothers she balled her hand up in a fist,. grabbed as tight as she could to motherfuckers shirt and FUCKING NAILED HIM IN THE FACE, much bleeding occurred and motherfucker then wanted to fight me actually lunging at me. RANDOM DID NOT BACK DOWN SHE EGGED HIM ON> Well motherfuckers friend decided to grab Randoms arms from behind her so she would stop egging his friend on. Well RANDOM fought like a son of a bitch and when motherfuckers friend would not let go Random kicked motherfucker as hard as she could in the face in her 3 inch heels.
Well motherfucker wanted to press chargers all bloody and crap so the police officer LAUGHED at him and said "This 100 pound chick did this to you?? (those were the days)" And besides she would counter press charges of assault back on you for touching her...
I busted 2 teeth with my wondrous kicking ability and I "think" but can not be sure that I came close to breaking his nose based on the amount of blood oozing from his face...

Moral of the story. Do not mess with a chick in 3 inch heels with 3 brothers motherfuckers......

So finally I know for sure...

You know how you sometimes just "know"
Well I left another message with the dream job this morning, and how I "knew" was last week when I talked to the hiring manager he said that he had 2 more interviews. I "knew" because when I interviewed 2 weeks earlier he said he had 2 more people that same day. So they had 2 more interviews on top of the 2 they had that day.
Well they went with an internal candidate. It turns out she has been with the company 8 years, but went on to say that had she not been a candidate I would have been the one they would have hired.
So there is my silver lining.... I "almost" got my dream job, but they also said they will keep me in mind for any other openings they have come up.

Things I am thankful for because there is ALWAYS a silver lining

I read back over my last post from my delusional state last evening when I could not sleep. I was still wide awake at 6am when the hubby got up for work.

I am thankful for

1. Having been able to sleep even for just a little bit of time when hubby was off to work.

2. For the love of a dog that NO MATTER what she still loves me and showers me with kisses even if I am crying (not a big crier just a REALLY long week)

3. Being healthy enough to work. As this had not always been the case.

4. For the "new job" I have to go to on Monday if I still have not heard from the dream job.

5. The love of a husband that NO MATTER what I throw his way we always bounce back ahead of the game.

6. For the love of girlfriends that no matter what I upset about at that particular time they can still make me spit milk out of my nose laughing at their antics. I mean the answer to it all will always be "Don't worry about it, just put on your sexy shoes and all is well"

Movie marathon and things that bug me...

So I went to the video store tonight with the intentions of getting No country for old men.
I walked out with 4 movies. Why 4
Well we just got a new membership at said movie place and they give you 1/2 price movies for the first 30 days.. And then they had rent one get one free, SOOOO for 4$ I got

Dan in Real Life
Hit Man
Rendition (so, so movie)

And luckly No Country for old men she was putting me on the "waiting list" and then someone walked in with a copy... Score.

Things that bug me VERSION 3.0

1. Bad drivers.
2. Not being able to sleep ( 4th night running, seeing how I am typing this at 1am)
3. Not wanting to take a sleeping pill for 4th night in a row because then I will NEVER be able to sleep again.
4. Having back pain SO BAD, that I just want to drug myself.. but the stubborn kid in me says "No way, you can do this" Fucking cheer leader.
5. Dogs that pee in the bed. (serious she NEVER does this) but gets a free pass because lets face it she gets away with murder.
6. Dogs that pee in bed and GET IT ON EVERY sheet and blanket in said bed.
7. Husbands that could sleep through a train running through the house. Serious the man could sleep standing up (prior Army) I wish for one minute I could sleep like that. Hell my neighbor farts 4 houses away I wake up. Frig
8. Sleeping on the couch because your back hurts so bad and you can not get comfortable in the bed.
9. Not wanting to sleep in the spare bed because... well... not sure about that room.
10. Needing a pedicure but not having a job, means not being able to afford a pedicure.
11. Having 15 loads of sheets and blankets to wash in the morning.
12. Being un-employed and having the time to wash 15 loads of laundry.
13. Not having heard from the DREAM JOB, just call me already, good news or bad news I would sort of like to get on with it.

Thats if for now I think... Its now 3:05 am and sleep still alludes me.

Thanks y'all

So Daisy is doing well.
We have already broken all of the rules. Umm yeah. But the vet said because she is in heat, and shes been there 3 different times before for the "same" issue, the chances she ate a pill was 99.99% that she did not. Even if she did it would not have made her sick seeing how its a drug prescribed to dogs for depression (dogs suffer from depression?)
Anyways she milking it and that's fine with us. We love her and shes cute, she stinks a bit right now but seeing what she went through yesterday I figure the bath can wait...

In other news I am still waiting to hear about my dream job. So far I am 0-5 interviews which has NEVER happened to me, until this time I have ALWAYS got any job that I interviewed for so this is a BIG FRIGGIN pill to swallow. But staying positive and having been through what I have been everything will work itself out.

Life is a learning experience and thank goodness I have the love and support of an amazing husband.

As if it could not get worse!!! And reason 16789568 I should never have children

I just rushed Daisy to the Doggie ER... I had a SNOTTY, SOBBING CRY in front of about 13 people. 5 being vet people, the other 8 were people waiting patiently with their pets for their scheduled appointments. IT.WAS.MESSY.

Last night I was having a REALLY hard time sleeping, so I started fumbling through my medication drawer (from my accident) to find those GLORIOUS sleeping pills that had been prescribed to me and could knock out a 300 pound man. Yeah those ones.
Anyways in my quest for sleep at 4:23am this morning I dropped some on the floor, I immediately spring to action and turn on the lights and started scouring under the bed (Daisys favorite hiding spot) and found all of them, much to the amusement of the hubby who is shouting from bed "What are you doing?"

"I dropped some pills I do not want Daisy to get them"

"Babe, do you remember how hard it was to get her to take her own medication, shes sure as hell not going to eat one of yours"

I found 2, took one turned out the lights and went to bed.

End of story. So I thought.

Well about an hour ago Daisy walks into the living room while I am scouring the net for a job and she looks like a drunken sailor. I pick her up, run to the bedroom where she had been to find she vomited in the bed like 5 times. I frantically call the husband and tell him I am off to the vet.
Daisy even fought getting into the car and SHE LOVES THE CAR, as we are driving she is still heaving and spitting out this white froth, this scares me to DEATH and much I love yous and crying ensues, I get to the Vet and tell them my dog swallowed my sleeping pills, through the snot and tears **much to the shock and dirty looks from the other "obviously"; more responsible pet owners***
They rush her in, take my prescription bottle and Daisy and then 2 vets come back out without my dog. I think I am immediately going to be carted off to Doggie prison when they begin to explain that the medication "she may or may not have swallowed" is something they routinely give to dogs suffering from depression. The side effects for an overdose are unknown but being that it could have been 1-2 people strength pills that would not hurt her that bad. THAT BAD what does that mean?? They said they are going to keep her for observations in the doggie ICU and that I could call @4pm to see if I can pick her up (to arrange for the doggie prison to pick me up)
They told me not to worry because the last 2 times she has been to this SAME vet in 6 months it was due to vomitting. She said this could be an underlying problem with her just having a REALLY weak stomach. They went over the whole "What do you feed her" and tell me that she can
a) NEVER have human food again.
b) No longer eat the wet dog food Little Cesare s because of all the sugar and additives.
c) No more begging strips HER FAVORITE! and the only treat she will eat

Now I do not know about you and your dogs, but Daisy is S.P.O.I.L.E.D. but the vet in no uncertain terms has not so "directly" said "You are making your dog sick" and that BREAKS my heart so I am sticking to the rules (with exception to NEVER have human food because she said plain chicken and rice is ok, oh and the begging strips just not as many....)

***Edit*** she is home safe and sound. They still will never "know" for sure if she swallowed a pill or not seeing how after some antibiotics and blood work and some anti nausea shes fine. Back to her old self. Just goes to show I would be A MESS without her****

Day 2 of unemployment..

This sucks... Serious I had the weekend off and then yesterday I got to sleep in till 11 which was AWESOME and only being day 2 I should not be fretting too bad, but I am.
I need a job.
So from both jobs that I interviewed for on Wednesday that I "thought" I had rocked did not pan out the way I had panned. Nope. Job #1 called with a lame excuse as to why they went with another candidate. However they did give me props and tell me that if I was ever applying for another job in the same area to call him first and he would contact the panel for me and tell them what a great candidate I would be.
Left message for dream job yesterday and got a call back this morning that they "Have not made any decisions and had 2 more interviews today"
This could be good or bad.
Humm I think I will eat chocolate.

In other great news I FINALLY made it to the gym yesterday... Umm yeah that girl running on the treadmill whose thighs rubbing together are causing a small fire? That was me ***waves to the crowd*** thank goodness there is a fire station across the street!!

All is well in Random land... And shoes!!

I went in yesterday.
WHAT. A. RELIEF.
My manager was really cool about it (as much as she could be "knowing" she was the issue). I also talked to the VP and CEO and thanked them for the opportunity of working for them.
Clean out my desk, said my goodbyes. It went REALLY well.

I still feel sick at the fact that I am unemployed. But I know EVERYTHING happens for a reason, I can always go back to my roots of serving or bar tending which I may do for a while just to get back into the swing of things. ONLY if I do not get an offer next week which I am crossing my fingers that I will. I have a 3 week cusion that I will still get paid so things are looking good.

Things I have learned through all this shit:

1. I can no longer be a "yes man" I have always been at work and this will be a HUGE leap for me but thats how I let it get that bad!!!

2. No job is worth your own sanity. You need to TALK about what's going on, and less worry about not being perfect.

3. I can not please everyone.

4. I will not settle again.

5. I am a KICK ASS employee. I do not need to be told this its proof when the "start" a new position for you to stay with the company. This speaks volumes of my character.

Oh and 3 reasons I need to get a new job soon!
One

Two

Three.. well sort of these are new but not the ones I was going to take a picture of I have a new pair of black ones that are FABULOUS for work

Oh and I am making a new blog but I need a name... Its going to feature all of my shoes. Thats it my pink belly will show and all of my shoes will be on display.... My shoe closet... What should I call it?

Time to think about me...

So I finally did it.

I left my job with no intentions on going back. Ever.

Yesterday was a hard day for me, a LONG time ago when I was working for a company I was not happy with, a manager I was not happy with, life in general at that time was interesting. Anyways one morning when I was going out the door to work I all of a sudden felt sick, my heart started to almost beat out of my chest, I got dizzy and started having chest pains.
Well I had not lived at home for years but they first person I call is my mom. She is there in mock speed and I am rush to the emergency room.
MASSIVE panic attack. Yep. Crazy. I am not one to usually to play the drama queen and this was very scary and very real. My dr gave me some meds after "observing" me for a couple of days and I was aloud to go home when it was established I was not a threat to myself or others...
Lead up to yesterday. My manager has been out of town all week and was due back this morning... About 10am I started having chest pains. I started to sweet and my heart was racing. I call the husband.
"Babe, remember WAY back when I told you about the panic attack I had FOREVER ago?"

"Yeah, why"

"Well I am going to leave today and not come back, I have just barfed and my heart is beating out of my chest, I have the shakes and I feel that same way I did that morning..."

"I love you babe, you need to do what you need to do. I love you"

So with that I went back to my desk, got my things told the next in charge that I was going home sick and then this morning I left a message for my manager to call me when she was in the office so I could come in a talk to her.

I will not go back in I will talk to her on the phone and pick up my things on Monday.

I feel sick just waiting for the call... And I also feel guilty for being this irresponsible....

*** Edit to add... I just talked to her.. She says she understands COMPLETELY!! It was so strange but such a HUGE relief.. I go in @ 2pm to "talk" and to get things in order. After barfing all morning and worrying about this its all about to be over... wish me luck***

Some peoples children!!

One of my interviews was in Denver. Seeing how it was a bit away from where I live (its the dream job) I drove out giving myself enough time to find the place and make certain I had enough time to park ect.
Anyways I found where I was supposed be parked the car and found a starbucks because I was so early. Sitting in the window in one of those super plush chairs with business people everywhere and I saw a gentleman fall outside on the ice.
I immediately jump into action and ask the guy sitting in the plush chair beside me

"Excuse me can you watch my purse I am going to help that gentleman"

The JACKASS looked straight at me in my smart looking suit and heals and said "No"

What a fucker! I left my purse and ran outside anyways, with me under one arm and another man who stopped under the other we started to pull him up, with people looking on and actually "irritated" that we were in there way and they were stepping over him!!!!

Serious... to all the people that were irritated and stepped over us, as well as the jackass in the arm chair who refused to watch my purse. I hope in your life you are shown the same courtesy as you did on this day. And I hope you have taught your own children better....

Fingers crossed y'all!

So yesterday went well... Really good. But I am not going to get to excited until I get an offer. If y'all could think and send all your good job thoughts my way I would MUCH appreciate it!!
One of the 2 I interviewed for was MY DREAM JOB. Serious there would not be a more perfect job for me. Serious. I am excited about what may be, and I know if it is meant for me it will be!!
Oh and I bought shoes. Currently I have 7 pairs in my car (not all new) I brought 3 pairs with me yesterday because I was unsure of which I would ware to NAIL the interviews...I wore a different pair for each (needed to change it up a bit) and THEN on my way home I HAD TO (was forced) to stop at the DWS because lets face it there is not one closer than an hour and a half to me... And of COARSE I found some that I had to buy!! Oh and they made me cry and do a happy dance!!. NOT ONLY ARE THEY FINALLY GOING ON LINE, BUT THEY ARE ALSO OPENING A NEW STORE THAT IS ONLY 1/2 HOUR FROM ME!
Could the day get any better?? I also told both potential employers that I would need a week off in May for a prior commitment for my girls trip to VEGAS BABY.. and both said it would not be a problem. Call me cocky but that's pretty bold to bring up in a first interview no? In my defense I needed to be honest....and I needed them to know I had a life and was not going to BEG for one day off to go out and visit my husband in DC... ok I digress....
I so need a new job. So I was not in the office yesterday right? Yeah well strange thing I did not have ANY phone messages (WOULD NEVER HAPPEN) and I also spent ALL FRICKING morning working on emails. Well turns out 1/2 way through working on my emails when I called someone it turned out that my manager (WHO NEVER WORKS) had already auctioned most of the items so I spent 4 hours doing shit that had already been done. Bitch could have copied me on the emails or something? No? So frustrated!!

Pics coming soon....

She's so Vain... (Well not really...but you get it..)

Ok umm...So I HAD highlights in my hair, I went to the mall on Saturday because my hair is LONG over due, well turns out all the "salons" in the mall had 2 hour waits so I went shopping... And forgot about my hair (got some good deals though)
Anyways when I got home I realized I forgot to get a hair cut/color....
Yep so I went back out, not to the mall though because as I drove I remembered where the hubby gets his hair did for CHEAP. (I am all about the cheap haircut and color...what? Its hair it grows back... nothing a box die can not fix?) So I stop and walk in and announce I need some highlights and a cut
"We are sorry lady we only do cuts, no color, no highlights"
OK I was DESPERATE and needed a cut so I obliged and figured "I can just get a box die on the way home and die it all one color and then I can get new highlights when I find the time"

So yeah got the hair trimmed, picked up a box that "look" almost the color I needed and went home to apply.. All went well, I left it on for about 10 extra minutes and followed the instructions VERY CAREFULLY, making sure to massage and separate the strands....

Turns out the front looks FABULOUS, great color, very close to my color BUT WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT? It did not die my highlights on the top... It got some of them but not all...

So with my hair up I look normal, I called the salons today because I have a HUGE interview tomorrow to tell them my woes and how I need to be fixed and the box die and blah blah...

FUCK ME!!! None of the "salons" in the shitty small town I live in "FIX COLOR" because I used a permanent box die it can not be fixed with salon color

Me "Well you could just "redo" the highlights and it will all be well"

Salon Lady "Ummm no it does not work like that, because you boxed die, any highlights we do will change only the color of some hair when we "neutralize it" the old highlights will still be there...

Me "Well I could pick the same color, or just die it black right?"

Salon Lady "No that will not work, those highlights will still show......."

AKKKK

Ok now I am in trouble.... Nothing a box die can not fix my ASS~~

***Edit****
I went in, I begged, I signed a waiver that I DID NOT CARE if my hair fell our or turned orange, green or purple because at this point it did not matter because WHATEVER happened it would have to look better than it did..., and BEGGED them to PPPUULLLEEAAASEEE fix it....... It looks FABULOUS, as long as I still have hair in the morning I am sure I will ace both my interviews (its a secret till I get it : )****

Too much?

So I went out shopping today, I needed to get a new suit for my job interviews coming up, well y'all know how I LOVE me some Ross... I scored this baby today for $0.99. Yep ninety nine cents... I even showed the tag to the hubby so he would believe me.....The hubby says its "Too much", Its not an every day wear sort of dress and certainly not for my interviews but for ninety nine cents this puppy will get some play in VEGAS baby....Other than my fat ass arms and this picture making me look pretty gross...

What do you think? Too much? Or the Cats Meow?

Thursday, February 28, 2008

UGGG.. Still so undecided!!!

So the plot thickens.
This will be a long one hope you are comfortable....

So they offer me the job. And I took the husbands advice and I accept. I figure its a great company, they obviously value me and well; I really do not want to look for a new job.

I was all excited a memo went out that I would be resuming my new position on Monday, I was finishing up all the stuff that needed to be done (the best that I could) and then I get called into my managers office, with my soon to be new manager.
Its all laid out. Basically my new manager did not have authorization to send out the memo and was "getting ahead of himself" and I was told, although I have been offered the position and they "are excited" that I am staying they need to "work out" the logistics of what it is going to take for me to move into my new role.

Me **blink**blink** I am so fucking mad at this point I can not see.

I smile and say I understand and ask to be excused.. I am flipping mad and I did not want to say anything I would regret. I am not one that is much for conflict and I needed to get my head around what "work out" meant.

So I went to my bosses boss. I know a little shady but I wanted clarification and to make sure I was not completely losing my mind.
Our conversation went well, it was agreed that in fact it was not fair to not have a time frame for this change, I argue the fact that I was LIED to, I was told in no uncertain terms that my position had been filled when I accepted the new position, I also interjected that my last day was supposed to be the 19th but I had agreed to stay on until the 29th at their request. So I gave them 4 weeks to replace me and now they are telling me that I will be doing BOTH jobs during the transition. I agree with my bosses boss that although that will be a HUGE work load (neither job have even REMOTE responsibilities) We are talking Apples and Cucumbers here people.
Anyways we finish up I am given a time frame of about 2 weeks to make the change and I am feeling really good about the whole situation.
Well then.... I get called in to the bosses bosses office with my boss to have a little talk. I can already tell walking in from her body language that this is not going to go well.
Turns out my bosses boss threw me under the buss and re-tracked his previous time frame of 2 weeks. My boss (who's ass would be showing if that was the REAL frame because I do most of her work anyways) she convinced him that due to the nature of what I do, I can not be working both positions because she wanted my sole focus on the job at hand. She also convinced him that although I gave 4 months notice and they still wanted me to take the other position that they had made the executive decision that I would "BE REQUIRED TO STAY IN MY ROLE INDEFINITELY UNTIL I COULD BE REPLACED"
And my position is not one you can just plop someone into, with all the shit coming up I can understand the decision although however unfair that is.
So I ask for clarification on a time frame, the 2 weeks turns in AT LEAST ANOTHER MONTH AND A FUCKING HALF!
So I am pissed. And I feel used and I am frustrated, and I know that if I agree to stay that the month and a half will be longer, and then longer....
And I feel that my back is against the wall and I have no choice but the fuck them back. I am going to smile and do my job and be great at what I do, and interview my ass off for a better opportunity and when it comes along bid them farewell.
Oh and they are not going to give me my raise until I "move" into my new role... Um yeah they want to keep my my fucking ass...

What to do??

So the job hunt has been sucking.....I was however offered another position with the company that I am with currently... The thing is I asked for more money and they BARELY met me half way. So I was pissed I called the husband and voiced my concerns. You know what the little bugger said? "Babe it was never about the money, you never complained about the money your only complaint that you even had with that place was your manager, why is the money an issue now?"

Yeah I hate it when he is right, So do I just shut up and accept the position and wait for something better? Stop looking and just be happy? Do I work out my notice till Friday and leave? I have also heard talks that although I have been offered the new position I will still be STUCK doing my old job and learning my new job until the end of MARCH!!!!

I wish this shit would go away!!

Still sick. Poor husband has had to put up with me for the last week... well better him than me because I am not sure I could handle him barfing every five minutes whining about how sick he is and "rub my back" God love him he's a good man....

In job hunting news I have been to 2 interviews and have had 2 phone interviews, the 2 in person interviews I heard back from already.
1. Was looking for someone with a degree and re-posted the position... which working in HR confuses me because if they have the experience that is more invaluable than a degree... Anyways just me.
2. I WAS FUCKING TOO QUALIFIED FOR!! Serious.. I agreed to your shit pay, but I also see their point, they know they would not be able to keep me too long and I have done the same thing... so....

Yeah irony bites my ass

What fun...

So I quit my job and now I am forced to find another.. This is not fun, although I do say I quite enjoy the interview part of it. I have been to an interview and I have had a phone interview and then I got to thinking the company I work for now LOVES me, and I like them too, its a great company to work for. So I am doing a business plan to present on Monday when my manager gets back. I am in the works of completing a job description for my dream job. At the company I work for. Its a leap and I know it, but will all the growth and change that is going on in the company the worst they can say is no. And if they do then I have lost nothing. I have talked to a few of the executives that have given me a hard time about leaving and mentioned my plan and asked them what they thought. 2 of them have offered to train me in the "spots" that I am including in my dream job description. And both have said its a GREAT idea and that the company is in MAJOR need of the position I am proposing... So fingers crossed!!
I am one crazy chick!

Have you ever taken the leap at work? Did it turn out?

New Machine at Wal- Mart

One day, in line at the company cafeteria, Joe says to Mike, “My elbow hurts like hell. I guess I better see a doctor.”

“Listen, you don’t have to spend that kind of money, “Mike replies. “There’s a diagnostic computer down at Wal-Mart. Just give a urine sample and the computer will tell you what’s wrong and what to do! About it.
It takes ten seconds and costs ten dollars. It’s a lot cheaper than a doctor.”
So Joe deposits a urine sample in a small jar and takes it to Wal-Mart.
He deposits ten dollars, and the computer lights up and asks for the urine sample. He pours the sample into the slot and waits. Ten seconds later, the computer ejects a printout:

“you have tennis elbow. Soak your arm in warm water and avoid heavy activity. It will improve in two weeks.” Thank you for shopping @ Wal-Mart.

That evening while thinking how amazing this new technology was, Joe began wondering if the computer could be fooled. He mixed some tap water, a stool sample from his dog, urine samples from his wife and daughter, and a sperm sample for good measure.

Joe hurries back to Wal-Mart, eager to check the results. He deposits ten dollars, pours in his concoction and awaits the results:

The computer prints the following:

#1. Your tap water is too hard. Get a water softener. (Aisle 9)

#2. Your dog has ringworm. Bathe him with anti-fungal shampoo. (Aisle 7)

#3. Your daughter has a cocaine habit. Get her into rehab.

#4. Your wife is pregnant with twins. They aren’t yours. Get a lawyer.

#5. If you don’t stop playing with yourself, your elbow will never get better.

Thank you for shopping @ Wal-Mart.

What's going on?

Work has been great. I am VERY surprised things are going as well as they are. I am relieved actually.
I hate that I had to give notice to be told I do a good job.
The job hunt has not been going so well. Not.at.all. It sucks living in a small town. I mean REALLY small town, I am sure something will come up and I have 5 weeks to find a new job (the 3 weeks I agreed to stay and we get paid 2 weeks in arrears) She also said I could stay until I found something but I am thinking the sooner the better.
Poor Miss Daisy spent the night at the vet last night. She had been barfing and then in a very bold move climbed into the husbands lap and peed right on him while looking right at him. Yep she was sick for sure. She has NEVER done anything like that before so I knew there was something wrong. When I took her in she was running a temperature so they gave her antibiotics and fluids. She refused to eat even human food from the vet and they were not going to let her go this morning but my powers of persuasion helped. Also the vet knows when she's home she will be fine. So she is on antibiotics for the next 10 days (That should be fun) and hopefully she will be fine. She was fine in the car home, obviously excited to be out of the vets office and at home she seemed fine starting running around to make sure everything was still there.... I tell you what though, a night without her made a HUGE weight in my stomach worried that she was not scared or cold...
Yeah another reason I could never have kids. Oh and I had to make the hubby clean up the vomit because I started to gag...

I QUIT MY JOB!!!

More glorious than it sounds I am sure, and it was a TOTAL leap of faith from me. I mean serious I work in HR I make fun of people who quit their jobs who do not have another to go to.... Today was the straw that broke the camels back. IT FEELS GREAT!!! I am so excited and happy about what the future holds (hopefully new job soon)

So I have been waiting FOREVER to blog about work. I refrain from it at all times, because to be honest I am glad to have a job. 2 actually. And I actually like both jobs. Its not the job that was the problem it was my manager.

Here is how it all went down.

She hands me a report its from a gov agency and is due Feb 12th. We have 170 stores!!! So I politely ask

"Oh how long have you had this? Its showing its due in 1 week?"

"Oh that? Oh its been in my office for a month"

WHAT THE FUCK!!! I have been talking to the husband for a month now about finding a new job. And I have been looking. TRUST ME I HAVE BEEN LOOKING!! I had an interview with the state 3 weeks ago and still have not heard anything. No letter. No call. I have called and left polite message but I am assuming it safe to say they are not interested.

So moving on.
After I cooled down after the whole "report" thing I took a walk. I called the hubby to tell him "Today is the day" he wished me luck and told me he loved me.

I turned to my manager and said "Can I talk to you when you get a minute?"

"Sure"

So an hour goes by and I am STEAMING!!! Flipping the fuck out mad!!
And then I finally "readdress the situation" And ask if she was ready for me.

I walk in and close the door and hand her my letter.

Yep IT WAS FUCKING FABULOUS!! I then went on to explain why, and how her and I have been butting heads, blah, blah. That my last day would be in 2 weeks

She said "She knew this was coming"

I explained this was one of the reasons why I was leaving. I mean someone who busts there ass for you, bends over back words is a good worker and your response is "I knew this was coming?"

I was FUCKING PISSED, but I am always looking for the silver lining and having finally found the courage. I stayed positive explaining things that I was promised when I was hired had not happened and blah, blah, blah.

She asked if I had found anything and asked me to stay until I did, she said she was disappointed and did not want me to leave, but added I needed to do what I needed to do.
We both agreed that our field we are so busy putting out everyone else's fires that we missed addressing our own friction.

So its good, its way more detailed than that and I am glad I was able to finally put it all out on the table. It feels good. She said it would take 4-6 months to replace me and I was a great employee although it took me resigning to say it...... I am on cloud nine right now. I feel very blessed that our talk went the way it did. She also disclosed some personal issues that are going on in her life, which I asked her why she did not say anything to me. I mean I am human if I had known even some of it I would have easily put up with more shit that I wanted to... Everything happens for a reason. She said she would be happy if I used her as a reference, and she is glad we had a chance to talk...

So its all done. I QUIT MY JOB!!! WEEHOOO And I get to keep it until I find another.....

Yes I am that FABULOUS!!!

Lube, vibrators and sex toys oh my!!

So one of the ladies I work with invited me to a Passion Party. Having been to a few before I thought it would be a hoot. And it was. It was so much fun.
I am also having thoughts of doing these parties part time. I mean how much fun would that be??
For those that have never been to a Passion Party the title is just as it seems. Its a group of people, usually women, sometimes men and women that get together have some wine and pass around sex toys for sale. Well there are also lotions, cock rings, crotchless panties and MUCH MUCH more.
I laughed so hard last night I was crying.

So I am going to meet the team leader on Monday to find out about the business and to see if I am going to become a Passion Consultant. Its actually the fastest growing self employment job in the US today... She does it full time (well if you figure 6 shows a month a FULL TIME JOB) and she clears $7000 a month more on some other months.

Not to mention the perks...lol And yes I brought some of those home last night too.. No wonder this lady makes a fortune...

Poor Riot

I AM SO ANGRY!!! Ok this poor dog was living with 6 kids, there was a burn on his back he was SUPER jittery around us. Well after Daisy barfed for no reason. Peed on the couch for no reason, and generally started acting a little strange. We decided it may not be the best idea to keep him
Well the hubby works with a lady that used to be a Vet Tech and he brought Riot in to meet her and she fell in love with him. Well I called the lady we got him from to tell her it was not working with Daisy but we found him a home, she then mentioned that Riot had been fixed a few months ago and he still had his stitches and she wanted us to bring Riot by so all the kids could say goodbye. I called the hubby at work to ask him if she would mind bringing him by to say goodbye. Well SHE FREAKED out, she checked Riot and indeed he still had stitches, well seeing how THE FUCKERS never took him in for the follow up after he had been fixed his stitches are ingrown and are now going to have to be surgically removed. Also the burn on his back that they "claim" was from grease is most definitely a cigarette burn. So needless to say Riot will NEVER be going back to visit or say goodbye.
They renamed him Winston... How cute seeing as he has already been branded. He has his Vet appointment booked and she is also booking doggie training classes for him to potty train, and try to break him from being so afraid of people. He is also going to be brought to work everyday so he is not alone.
I am SO HAPPY this has all turned out this way, I am sad that Riot/Winston was not a match for us because he was SUCH a cool dog. (minus he was never potty trained and peed on my bed skirt) But the family he is with is going to LOVE him so much and the hubby will get to see him everyday to see his progress.

We have both agreed that we are going to wait till Daisy has another heat cycle and then we are going to breed her and keep one of her babies as our second doggie.. Or 2 if she has 2... or 3 maybe...lol

The "Maybe" new addition to our family

He is SO CUTE!! He is smaller than Daisy by 2 pounds...And so badly abused. So here is the story, I have been calling the shelter every week now for the last 3 months. We are on a waiting list for a small dog (does not matter bread) under 10 pounds. Well when I called on Friday it turns out the lady who answered the phone had an aunt that had a miniature pincher that she needed to re home. She did not have the heart to take him to the shelter. Anyways we went and meet her and took him to the dog park with Daisy, Daisy is not too impressed with him at all. They are working on it
About that abused thing, umm yeah while on the phone with this lady she "claims" she was cooking one day and this little dog was under her feet and she burnt him with cooking grease. So how I know this story is BULLSHIT is she has 6 kids. Yep you read that right 6 kids all under the age of 9. So needless to say he is a bit jumpy. He is very jittery around me and the hubby and I know he will get better but it breaks my heart that someone would hurt a little dog. She also told me that he is locked in his kennel ALL DAY because he does not get into trouble. He NEVER got taken on walks so will need a lot of leash training. Poor thing, oh and the house was a DISASTER!!!
I think we need to rename him but for now we are keeping his name Riot. The hubby knows a bit about dogs so I went shopping to get Riot a new bed, blanket, food bowls, treats, toys.
Yeah he's gonna be spoiled! And the hubby and I have decided that if we do not keep him (Daisy still hates him after a week) Then we will find him a home.

Can you see that bald spot on his back about the size of a dime? Yeah thats where she "claims" cooking grease landed on him. And I am so sure with 6 kids running around the dog was burned and not the children?
Umm Yeah.

SWEET!!!

This lady at work gave me a FREE DIGITAL CAMCORDER... Can I tell you how excited I am? Her hubby used to work for the fire dept and it was used in fire investigations and they were going to throw it out. She already had one so she brought the other one into work and GAVE IT TO ME!! How cool is that?
Its an older camera but its a Sony and with a good cleaning and some new batteries it will be as good as new.
I love me some free stuff!! Now when we travel I can really walk around like a real tourist with a camcorder around my neck.. Lol My digital camera does video but it takes up so much of the card...
So now I am going to have to take a trip home so y'all can see how silly us girls get with some alcohol in us... Ha ha.. and then at our 60th birthday parties I can whip out the video at how HOT we all once were... **sigh**

Oh and yes I am blogging from work. Why? Well I just figured out (the hubby helped) how to clean my history. That and I just do not give a shit anymore. Umm yeah long post about that. I am also looking for jobs online while at work. I am so going to hell, but hang on here is my FUCKING I DO NOT CARE ANYMORE FACE ; )

Y'all think you have the worst boss. Just you wait....

Delurking Pictures!!

Dixie requested a pic of my favorite shoes...The ones I want to be buried in here they are!!

Ok to be honest I could not pic just one pair. It would depend on the fabulous outfit that was chosen for me... So here you have.. My ENTIRE shoe collection. Ok thats a lie. Just my favorites.

Alfreds mom requested a picture of my bathroom counter top.

I did not even clean it per her request... Ugg. I am one messy girl. I would try to blame it on the hubby but lets face it he does all the cleaning.

jstzznu requested a picture of my kitchen.

Here you are straight from the 1970's. And just to clarify we do rent.

Lady Wanderlust
requested one of my favorite pictures.

This is one I took at the Aquarium in Washington DC. I love the way it turned out and I am going to use it as the picture on my credit card.

Patty sent me the one she wants me to post and for some reason I CAN NOT GET IT TO WORK... so Patty this ones for you.. My new pretties!! Do you like? They were $3.50. Umm yeah I HAD to buy them...

Things going on in Random Land:

* I apologize for dropping the "lump bomb" with no follow up. The reason I will not blog about it, is well because it makes me worry. And until I know for sure that everything is ok I would rather not dwell on it. It is what it is, and at this point there is nothing I can do about it and stay positive and just pray its only a cyst (which I am becoming more and more sure it HAS to be)

* Its cold as hell out here. Like freeze your tits off cold -20 with the wind chill. THIS SUCKS ASS!!

* I am busy planning a girls only weekend and I am now realizing I am going to have to work more PT hours to afford this trip......Maybe I need to start working in a restaurant again?

* I am looking for another job... long story and HUGE post coming about that.

* I am DYING for this stupid gym that was supposed to open on the 1st to open. I have called every week for the last 3 week and its always a different story. I need to get on track to look fabulous come the girls trip in May.

* Its so COLD and dry out here I am going through a friggin GALLON of body cream a day AND I AM STILL DRY ITCHY GROSS!! And yes ladies I have tried it ALL I bought one of those kits that had the Olay in shower moisturizer and that stuff works well but within and hour I am dry and itchy again. At this point all suggestions are welcome!!

I am so going to hell!!

So the boots are in... And yes I giggle everytime I see her waddle around in them...

I LOVE this dog

Ok lets put it to a VOTE...

I bought this new shower curtain. I kinda like it, but I am still not sure about it. The hubby says its "Too Grandma"
So I put it to you my faithful readers. Most of the stuff in the bathroom is brown which is why this one caught my eye...

What do you think?

Ugly Grandma? Or cute but not to girly? Humm I think I am way off with this one.. the more I look at it the more I am not so sure...

So Keep it.. Or get a new one??

Oh and this is GROSS!! I will never donate at the blood mobile again. This is the second time they butchered me... Can we say ouch??

What's that??

Hubby "Whats that why are you looking at me like that??"

Mw "What? That's my sexy look? I am giving you sexy eyes..."

Hubby "Babe you need to work on your sexy look, that looks more like a "your not getting any look""

Gotta love the honesty in our relationship...

Baby its COLD outside

Its been minus 20 off and on with the wind chill. Can we say FREAKING COLD!! Serious my car door barely wanted to open in the cold. Thank goodness for heated seats! I love my little convertible but if we are staying in these cold crazy climates I think I need a bigger car. Oh and a remote car starter. On that all I do is push the pretty little button and let it warm up and I no longer would have to run out the door with wet hair and freeze my butt off to start it.

One can dream.....

I never thought I would mutter these words... I miss California

Ok lets get personal for a minute

So y'all know how I HATE the Dr. Seems you never get any good news. Well today was one of those days.
I thought that I may not blog about it. I was going to keep it to myself, but I feel the need to write, its seems the more I talk about the more it feels like its going to be ok.
Y'all have been great and supportive and I am going to have faith its going to be ok.

They found a lump in my breast, and I have a mammogram on the 28th. I freaked the fuck out and had a mental break. I then came to my senses that this was all out of my control. Cancer runs in my family on my mom's side. My mom has had cervical cancer 2 times now. They found a lump when I was 21 too, I went for the ultrasound and mammogram and it was just a cyst. But at that time my doctor assured me it would be nothing and I had nothing to worry about. Well this time was REALLY different.
He found the lump, and then had the nurse feel it. Until she touched it, it did not hurt, he then felt it again and read its dimensions to the nurse in a very concerned tone, he also mentioned "It was not a small lump". He then told the nurse after she schedules the mammogram to also schedule the biopsy. THIS.FREAKED.ME.THE.FUCK.OUT.
The one time before it was nothing like that. Maybe it was his bedside manor, I am up all naked on the table in my paper gown ready for my pap and I was trying to keep it together. It worked for a bit and I opted out of the rest of my physical. This was enough for one day.

I called the hubby and freak out, always the voice of reason tells me not to worry about it till we know anything for sure.
I know its going to be fine this is just routine.
But I am mad at myself a little. Because of the risk and family history, I know I should have kept up on my self exams. More boob play for the husband (ha ha ok I need to laugh about this a little)
I should have found the lump.

So ladies.. husbands... go feel up your boobies.. I expect a full report in the morning.

I have been SUPER busy!

I worked 24 hours at the PT job this week which is not my usual but I covered it and the following schedules I am only on 12 hours which I could live with.

Question for you all....

At the PT job I watched this little boy probably 7-9 (not sure because I am not so great with ages) steal a pack of gum. When him and his mom came up to the register I asked him if he was going to pay for the pack of gum he put in his pocket? He looked at me with tears in his eye's and whispered to his mom "Should we tell her?" And the mother just looked at me and said "My child would never steal anything!"
So I respond and at the time I did my manager came around the corner "Well I am sorry Mame I watched your son who would never steal put a pack of gum in his pocket would you like me to add it to your order or would you like him to put it back?"
My manager pinches me from behind and I know I am stepping over the boundaries of "good customer service"

She looks me straight in the eye reaches in the kids pocket only to pull out the pack of gum in question and state "We bought this at another store" Kid is in tears, mom is lying out her ass about it IN FRONT OF HER FUCKING CHILDREN!! It is clear its from our store with price attached and everything.

AND I HAD TO LET HER GO!!!

Would you knowingly let you child steal and cover for them??

Wow

What a day... So I get this call today on my private line

"Hi this is (company name) Random speaking how can I help you?"

"Yeah I would like to order some Assless Chaps please.. your company does that sort of stuff right?"

"Umm you called Random in (this dept) are you sure your calling the right place?"

"Yeah, I wants me some chaps.. you think those would look good on me"

"Umm how did you get this phone number?"

"Do you guys deliver to the UK?"

Fucking hell its one of my best est friends Harriette I was actually blushing on the phone till she started to giggle. She got me good!

Oh and we are doing a girls trip to Vegas in May for the long weekend (Canadian long weekend) and I am SO friggin excited!! All the girls are gonna be there!! WEEHOO that should be a messy weekend FOR SURE!

I am so shopping for Chaps now and I am going to mail them to her at her job... Mess with me at work...lol

Shopping always seems to work

I am feeling much better today.. WEEHOOO, I think it was just a little bug. I woke up this morning feeling well rested and the stomach no longer rumbles.. Maybe it was the lure of having to go shopping today..at my favorite place that I have to drive 40 minutes to get to. Actually I have to drive 40 minutes to pick up my prescription.. Yeah my prescription. Funny thing when I moved out here to COWBOY country I made sure there was a Target because that's where all my prescriptions are. I checked the city we were moving to (ASSUMING) thinking all Targets had pharmacy's, and with the wonders of technology you can have your prescriptions filled any where in the US its BEAUTIFUL.
Anyways our little small town in cowboy country has a Target, and a Super wall mart, and a Sam's club... yeah our Target does not have a pharmacy.
So every 20 days I have to drive 40 minutes to have my prescription filled. AND I know you all are wondering "Why" would I just not go get a new one from a Dr. in town.

I HATE DOCTORS!! I do, actually hate is a very stronger word its more like "I am afraid" of Drs. Yep there you have it. Stubborn at its finest... Humm maybe I can find some more new shoes???

Oh and I read this today and laughed
... Could you imagine in the US if all you had to do is declare 3 times you wanted a divorce and POOF by law you would be divorced? And this guy did it by text message because his wife did not pick up the phone????
Wow we thought our laws were too easy to get a divorce!

At least I can keep down my spit..

So Friday night I worked the PT job and I was not feeling very well at all. I actually asked to leave early and my manager said it would be OK but there was only 4 of us (all people who I love working with) so I stuck it out my whole shift (that's a lie I left 1/2 hour early because the store was already closed and stock was all done) So I BARLEY made it home before the barf fest started.

You know the kind of barfing that hurts, and you taste last weeks lunch. Yeah that kind of sick. So I was off to bed early and slept till 11am, I was up for an hour, then back to bed till 3pm, then a little nap and finally about 5pm I jumped in the shower to try to shake it off (I am so silly thinking if I have a shower I will feel better.
Well I pretended to feel better and we had NO food in the house so I headed out to the grocery store thinking it would make me feel better.
When I got home I ate and "thought" I was feeling better so I took Daisy for a ride in the car (she LOVES the car) and when I got home I puked again.
I called in sick already for tomorrow. I think I may have a bit of the flu so tomorrow I will spend all day in bed and not even shower. And it will be great...

Hey question for all you dog owners/lovers the other day when it was REALLY cold out Daisy went running out with daddy to take out the garbage and she started SCREAMING at the top of her lungs the hubby grabbed her and we warmed up her paws.
Well now she will not go outside. She will if we pick her up and I have ordered THESE for her little doggie mits so the salt and cold will not get on her feet.

Does anyone have them? Do they work? It breaks my heart she will not go outside anymore and when they get here I will have to throw her in a snow bank with them on so she will not be scared anymore....
And there will be MANY pictures of how silly she will look and maybe some video...

I love me some ROSS!!

The new pretties..... You can not tell really that great in this picture but they are purple... and oh so pretty....

So I worked at the PT job again tonight and you would not BELIEVE who sought me out the moment I walked into the store. I was cordial and said "hi" and as he stood in front of me looking like he was about to unload again I started to blurt out how my car was acting up (totally a lie) and did he know much about VW's.. Seems to have diverted attention and the minute my stuff was put away I acted like I was late for work (I punched in 20 minutes EARLY) And I really wanted to ask how his family was doing but I was afraid of what he may have said..
Is that so wrong??

Why does this always happen to me??

So the PT job has be scheduled for 35 hours next week. Umm yeah.. too many hours for me. So I talked to the store manager about what I was looking for in a Part time gig and explained that I would like a max of 10-12 hours a week, Again reminding her that I do work full time already to the tune of 40+ hours a week.
Anyways she said this would be the last week because 3 people quit and she was stuck. And then I think about it and I should just walked away.. but me being the nice person I am, and also having shoe purchases dancing in my head..... I am such a sucker...
Then last night too, one of the mangers says to me "Hey Random, can I talk to you a minute?"

Me "Sure, whats up?" (thinking I did something wrong or screwed something up)

Manager "Ummm, my dog died today and my 10 year old thinks its her fault for letting him of the leash"
**crying ensues***

Me *blink*blink* "Oh?"

Manager "And I am not sure I can handle this because my family and I are still dealing with the death of our 5 year old"

Me *blink*blink* "Oh"

Manager "Yeah I am not sure how much more crap our family can take, first my son dies, then our dog......"

Me *blink*blink*
I feel bad, and I do not deal with death great myself so its hard for me to deal with this. And to make matters worse this is the first time I have EVER worked a shift with this man. OR TALKED TO HIM!! I understand he needed to talk to someone, and I was the closest, and I think I may have that face, or maybe its because he felt he could trust me...
Anyways not to sound like a heartless BIATTCHH but it was weird for me. And strange...

Resolutions for 2008

I have decided that I am not going to do resolutions this year but more a list of things I have learned, and things I am thankful for 2007 was a great year and 2008 feels like it will be even better.

Things I learned from Daisy: (shes my 6 pound Chihuahua that we found in a dumpster with 2 broken legs and 2 broken ribs for those just tuning in)

1. Snuggle in close every chance you get.
2. Take pleasure in the small things, even if she is just driving around the block because you love the car so much.
3. Give kisses freely and for no reason at all.
4. Perk up at the sound of their voice. And let them know you love them by a gaze or a paw pat.
5. Get so excited that you pee... just a little.
6. Listen closely
7. Always wake them up with kisses and put them to bed with kisses too.
8. Its always nice to share....

I am excited about what this year with bring. Looking back we have much to be thankful for, going into 2008 the hubby and I will celebrate 5 years of marriage. WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE?? 5 years? I mean that would mean that in February we have been dating for 9 years?? 9 Years is FOREVER!! But I feel blessed. I would not have it any other way.
Daisy will turn 1 year old. Well, we are going to celebrate her 1 year birthday on the day we found her seeing how we will never know her real birthday. And I can not believe its been almost a year since I found her, stinky and broken in the dumpster.

This year has been a year of changes. New jobs for both the hubby and I. New city, new State, who knows what 2008 holds for us but having had just had such a great year I look forward to what 2008 will be.

HAPPY NEW YEARS EVERYONE, From our family to yours!!!!
