She comes by it honestly....
Its been beautiful out the last few days.
And I have been off both jobs so Daisy and I have gone on some extended walks. Lets be honest we can both use the exercise.
Well today I get suited up and lather on the suntan lotion and out the door we go, at mile 1 she finds a good spot to poop and she poops blood.
Back to the house and off to the vet. I call the hubby on the way home and explain whats going on. I have a HUGE pit in my stomach because my BIL and his girlfriends dog just died of cancer. And how they found out? He was pooping blood.
Everything is fine. She just has a bacterial infection that there is nothing we could have done to prevent...
3 days of bed rest, medication, no walks or car rides...
She is so not impressed with me.. or the thing they stuck in her bum.
I am so proud of her, she was so brave...
She loves exercise as much as her mommy though and apparently will do anything to get out of it...........
Poor thing I already feel bad about the no walk thing.

Coming soon to "People of Walmart"
Oh yes, I have become that crazy pet parent!
I was off work today because of the "big D" my stomach has been messed up all day (I know too much information) so I was home from work.
Daisy was excited of coarse we laid around all day taking naps, playing fetch and just being silly girls.
I noticed she kept licking herself. Something she does not usually do, so about a couple of hours later she was STILL licking herself so I flipped her over to see what she was licking.
Her nipple was bleeding and she had 2 marks on her belly that were also bleeding, I called the hubby, called the vet to say we were coming and out the door I went.
In my jammies.
Oh yeah I am "that" lady running into the pet hospital in her PJ's (in my defense they do not "really" look like jammies, black pants with a white sweatshirt?)
AND I did not look in the mirror in my haste....
So yeah Daisy is fine she just scratched herself but the site of blood made me freackoutalittle because I do not handle blood very well. Mine or anyone elses.
SO while I was walking around walmart to get slim jims to hide her anti-biotics in I envisioned my picture posted here because:
1. I was in my jammies
2. I was wearing my dressy peacoat open so you could see my jammies
3. In my SUPER comfy fuzzy socks
4. I did not even bother to fix my hair or anything...
It was so bad the hubby did a one over when I walked in the door
And I was not wearing I bra... Oh yeah coming soon to the pages of The people of Walmart

As if it could not get worse!!! And reason 16789568 I should never have children
I just rushed Daisy to the Doggie ER... I had a SNOTTY, SOBBING CRY in front of about 13 people. 5 being vet people, the other 8 were people waiting patiently with their pets for their scheduled appointments. IT.WAS.MESSY.
Last night I was having a REALLY hard time sleeping, so I started fumbling through my medication drawer (from my accident) to find those GLORIOUS sleeping pills that had been prescribed to me and could knock out a 300 pound man. Yeah those ones.
Anyways in my quest for sleep at 4:23am this morning I dropped some on the floor, I immediately spring to action and turn on the lights and started scouring under the bed (Daisys favorite hiding spot) and found all of them, much to the amusement of the hubby who is shouting from bed "What are you doing?"
"I dropped some pills I do not want Daisy to get them"
"Babe, do you remember how hard it was to get her to take her own medication, shes sure as hell not going to eat one of yours"
I found 2, took one turned out the lights and went to bed.
End of story. So I thought.
Well about an hour ago Daisy walks into the living room while I am scouring the net for a job and she looks like a drunken sailor. I pick her up, run to the bedroom where she had been to find she vomited in the bed like 5 times. I frantically call the husband and tell him I am off to the vet.
Daisy even fought getting into the car and SHE LOVES THE CAR, as we are driving she is still heaving and spitting out this white froth, this scares me to DEATH and much I love yous and crying ensues, I get to the Vet and tell them my dog swallowed my sleeping pills, through the snot and tears **much to the shock and dirty looks from the other "obviously"; more responsible pet owners***
They rush her in, take my prescription bottle and Daisy and then 2 vets come back out without my dog. I think I am immediately going to be carted off to Doggie prison when they begin to explain that the medication "she may or may not have swallowed" is something they routinely give to dogs suffering from depression. The side effects for an overdose are unknown but being that it could have been 1-2 people strength pills that would not hurt her that bad. THAT BAD what does that mean?? They said they are going to keep her for observations in the doggie ICU and that I could call @4pm to see if I can pick her up (to arrange for the doggie prison to pick me up)
They told me not to worry because the last 2 times she has been to this SAME vet in 6 months it was due to vomitting. She said this could be an underlying problem with her just having a REALLY weak stomach. They went over the whole "What do you feed her" and tell me that she can
a) NEVER have human food again.
b) No longer eat the wet dog food Little Cesare s because of all the sugar and additives.
c) No more begging strips HER FAVORITE! and the only treat she will eat
Now I do not know about you and your dogs, but Daisy is S.P.O.I.L.E.D. but the vet in no uncertain terms has not so "directly" said "You are making your dog sick" and that BREAKS my heart so I am sticking to the rules (with exception to NEVER have human food because she said plain chicken and rice is ok, oh and the begging strips just not as many....)
***Edit*** she is home safe and sound. They still will never "know" for sure if she swallowed a pill or not seeing how after some antibiotics and blood work and some anti nausea shes fine. Back to her old self. Just goes to show I would be A MESS without her****

First Vet visit
So Daisy and I made a trip to the vet this morning. I almost puked when they took her away to see if she had a micro chip in her (which means she would belong to someone else sniff sniff lol)
Anywho she was the BEST dog, she did not bark, cry, fight AT ALL can you believe that??? They even stuck a thermometer in her bum and she did not even fight. They cut her toenails and she did not fight. THEY GABBED HER WITH A NEEDLE!! I flinched but she did not even fight. AT.ALL. The even TOOK POOP from her and she did not fight.
I am so proud of her. The dr gave her a good bill of health but did say she in fact had been hit by a car. A CAR!! That or someone kicked her REALLY HARD!
Shes only 4 months old and 4 1/2 pounds and SUCH a good dog! The jury is still out about if we can keep her, the vet did say he wants to see her again in 3 weeks for a check up so until then I will work on house breaking her (explains now why she pooped all over the couch last night) but the hubby and I both blame ourselves for her pooping on the couch. He says she probably could not get down and we forgot to leave puppy pads in places other than the kitchen where she was "supposed" to stay (little bugger kept figuring how to get out) I'll have to go get a baby gate for her.
So 3 weeks. I wonder if I can even give her away after that time?? Sniff sniff
I had about 50 responses to my add for her. Its a bit frustrating to say the least I specifically said she would need to be an only pet (fishes excepted) because of all the trauma shes been through and 35 people sent me emails that there dogs needed a friend.
And you know me I kindly responded to EVERY email that I was keeping her till she goes back to the vet in 3 weeks. The vet also said the way we are training her leaving her in the kitchen all day is the best thing for a dog her size. He said if we let her run around every where she will never be house broken (type of dog)
Here she is!!! FINALLY figured out how to load videos
