Work is sucking the life out of me!

So I ended up sick again. Yep bronchitis AGAIN! So the Dr had banned me from Yoga.

umm its been 1 1/2 months and I think I may go back today...

On a funny note, at work the other night this lady hands me her payment and says

"I'M NOT A STRIPPER!!!"

Ummm ok lady, just because you pay your bill with $60 in singles....

And just for the record, she was SO a stripper. Clear heals, trashy makeup, boobies all out and all!

Oh and y'all know how I love me some thrift stores? Well I found this DARLING little end table that I LOVE and the top is all stained so I bought it for $2.50 brought it home (the hubby thinks its ugly) and upon further investigation I found some stamps on it.

Yeah this table I bought for $2.50 SELLS ON EBAY FOR $2400!!!!!

Its a vintage antique table by Weiman furniture!!!

How lucky is that! Now I just have to figure out what I am going to do!

I can see my toes OVER my head!!!

This IS HUGE!!

I have fallen back in love with Bikram yoga.

A long time ago (about 12 years ago) I used to practice about 9 times a week. I loved it, it made me full of energy, helped me stay slim, it just all round made me feel good.

I forgot how much I LOVE IT!

When I started back at my first Bikram class 2 weeks ago I could BARLEY (and that's being nice) stand the whole class, I was dizzy, lightheaded, nauseous. It was bad. But I stuck it out, stayed in the class.

And kept going back.

And 8 classes later I AM BACK!! And I want to scream it for the world to hear!!

This is the posture that has eluded me for weeks

And today I HIT IT! all 4 times.

I think I may have done a little happy dance, and at the end of class while we were resting in the last posture the instructor was talking about "The best thing about teaching is seeing a student work SO HARD, and being there their first class and seeing how far and well they have come"

To be honest it felt like he was talking just to me.

And maybe he was.

Open Letters

Dear guy in front of me at yoga the other night:

You are an asshole. There I said it. I mean if you could not afford the biker shorts to go under your "sports shorts" I WILL BUY THEM FOR YOU!

Its a little distracting trying to focus on postures in the mirror when YOUR BALLS are dangling in my face.

And it was not like carrots its made me gag a few times and I got less out of the class because I was worried about the "harrydanglingballshow"

Get some class.

I mean SOME HOW another gentleman got in front of me at last nights class and he had enough decency to cover those babies up?

Scared for life

Random

Dear Target:

I heart you. I do. You always amaze me at your unbelievable clearance and the fact that today YOU PAID ME TO SHOP! Yep I spent $0.86 cents and made $30.

I love you.

Oh and shout out to whoever decided on the FABULOUS spring fashions.

It was NOT too good to be true!

So remember the Free Yoga I was telling you about?

Well I went to my first free class AND I did my hour of volunteer babysitting and it went REALLY well.

My only concern is the girl who will be sharing the responsibility of the daycare on Wednesday brings her own kids and one of them has autism.

Now before you start bashing me for not having a heart, she spends the WHOLE hour with her son trying to not let him hit, scratch, bite, scream, steal and beat on the other kids! He is SUCH a distraction to EVERYONE in this little room! The room is BARELY big enough for a table and chairs and we had 9 kids in there! 9 with her son hitting and biting the other kids. Which made them cry and lash out.

It was a nightmare so to speak. I was able to take some of the older ones into the hallway to stretch and play games but her son would keep SCREAMING and hitting the other kids that we all had to be crammed into this little space trying to stay out of her way.

The lady who runs the "program" asked me how the day went and she read it all over my face. They have a hard time getting people to stay on Wednesday (which is one of the busier days) to help because of her and the people only say "something came up on Wednesdays" so they can no longer volunteer.

I feel bad but I do not blame them. Really. I mean I was bitten 2 times ALONE! Can you imagine what that does to 8 other kids?

Anywho I am going to stick it out. See how it goes. Its only 1 hour a week.

Free Yoga and Massage!

Weehoo...

This sounds a little too good to be true. But in help of me getting back into shape and losing weight I started checking out Yoga Studios in the area.

I have mentioned here my LOVE for Bikram Yoga so in my research I was looking for a Bikram studio that does not charge $17 a class.

Yeah I know.

Expensive. But when you burn over 1300 calories in a 90 minute class and it can make you sob (in a good way) like a baby, $17 is worth it.

But its a little out of my price range at this time seeing how restaurants SLOW WAY DOWN in Jan and Feb and my schedules this week PROVES IT. (I have gone from 11 shifts between 2 jobs (70 hours a week) to 6 shifts (about 30)

Ugg yeah

But this studio I found has FREE YOGA AND MASSAGE for anyone who works the daycare for 1 hour a week.

1 hour y'all. I can do that!

Fingers crossed this all works out.. I could SO use a massage and a good yoga class to get my mojo back!

Oh Bikram yoga how I love you!!

So way back in the day I used to do Bikram 5 days a week. The classes were literally across the street from my house so I really had no choice and it was easy to stick to.

In the previous city we lived in there were no studios within about 40 miles of where we lived, so I stopped going and have not been in about 4 years.

I found a studio about 15 miles from me.

And they are AMAZING!! So to help kick off my weight loss I am going to start back and commit to 3 days a week!!

And this is not just any yoga. There is no standing on your head or anything like that. The room you do the yoga in is heated to a very humid and WARM 105 degrees. It is the MOST AMAZING workout EVER!!. You can read more about Bikram here or find a studio near you!

Bikram's Beginning Yoga Class is a twenty-six asana series designed to scientifically warm and stretch muscles, ligaments and tendons, in the order in which they should be stretched.

Bikram Yoga's twenty-six posture exercises systematically move fresh, oxygenated blood to one hundred percent of your body, to each organ and fiber, restoring all systems to healthy working order, just as Nature intended. Proper weight, muscle tone, vibrant good health, and a sense of well-being will automatically follow.

Ummm yeah I think I am in love!!!
