NEVER purchase anything from Ashley Furniture!

So to start off when the hubby and I first got married we bought EVERYTHING from Ashley furniture (7 years ago).

We loved the stuff, it was well made and lasted us 7 years. When we moved we sold it all on Craigslist (I think they should start paying me for the self promotion?)

Anyways we moved to San Francisco and we need all new stuff, we checked a few places around and then WENT 45 miles out of our way to go to an Ashley store we found the couch, chair and coffee and end tables we loved!

We ordered it and then all hell breaks loose...

1. They told us 3 weeks from the time we ordered and IT TOOK 5 weeks.

2. When the stuff arrived THE DRIVERS WERE BELLIGERENT! They cussed and were dropping f-bombs like candy. I struck up a conversation with the "lovely" young gentlemen and I was informed "Today my last day I do not get paid enough to deal with this fucking bullshit, I have only worked here 4 days"

The other guy chims in "Today is my fucking first day and probably my last"

It took them an hour to get the sofa in the door. I had to talk them out of hanging it over the balcony to get it in (serious I can not make this shit up!)

And then one of the guys says "umm excuse me but these fucking tables broken, did you still want them?"

Umm no?

So we refused the tables and as soon as they were out of earshot I called Ashleys customer service (if you can call it that) to file a complaint.

I also told them at that time we did not want the tables, cancel the order and just credit us.

I was told she would need to call me back.

4 days later still no call.

I call them and finally get an apology and told we would receive credit for the delivery (they also left all the garbage at the bottom of the stairs)

And they say they will call back about the tables (that I clearly stated we did not want)

So the call my husband back and tell him we can not cancel the order.

And then I call back and they try to tell me that my husband told them to order the tables again.

I was told by 4 different people we would not be refunded for the tables.

SO I spoke to the boss, the bosses boss and we received refund for the tables!! I can not believe that they would put customers through this. Only to give refund anyways?

Oh and to TOP IT ALL OFF? Yeah, what we were told we were paying for the set they are giving us a refund of $60 less than what we were told we were paying!!

NEVER AGAIN!

But the good from the bad is we really love our couch and chair!

Dear CVS,

You will have to excuse my randomness and punctuation in this letter.. I was pissed.. this was the clean version...lol

To Whom It may Concern,

I am writing about my concerns about a specific customer service representative at this location.

On 3 different occasions I have been so rudely treated by your associate Denise.

On this past occasion (approx 3pm on Wed June 9th) I had stopped at your store to pick up a few items. I have never been so rudely treated by any employee ever by your company. I am so offended that someone who works your cash register area would treat customers this way.

It appears to me that she goes out of her way to be rude. And it was not only to me but to other customers as well.

This particular transaction I put my items on the counter and handed my CVS extra care card while I got my wallet out of my purse she yelled at me “I NEED YOUR COUPONS” as she sighed loudly under her breath.

Now I am not sure if this is the only location that requires coupons before the transaction can be started and if this is policy then I totally understand my over site, however as much as I shop with coupons at CVS I have NEVER been “required” to hand over my coupons before the transaction can be rung up. Not to mention the lack of a smile or even a friendly tone from Denise. I always feel like I am interrupting her and she makes it very clear she is not please with her job.

Because she was so overtly rude and I am not one to create a confrontation I asked her

“Every time I come into this store it feels to me that you are always so rude to me!”

Denise responded “I am not”

So I went on to explain to her that I understand that I do use coupons and I understand that it can be frustrating (however there were only 6 items in my transaction) and if I have done something to offend her to make her always be so rude to me, Denise told me “They are such a hassle because I have a million other things to do!”

To which my response was shock, embarrassment, and I was angry.

Since when are paying customers “to much work” to a company?

I said nothing else to her other than asking her what her name was. There was another employee there as well and I asked if she was the store manager and she said “No I am just a supervisor”

Should she not have offered help? Even inquired as to if there was a problem with anything as it was obvious I was upset and she had overheard mine and Denise’s conversation?

I am so frustrated with CVS right now, I am shocked that a company would allow its employees to treat customers this way. To just tell the customers that “yes” in fact you are not important to me. I was so angry leaving that store my blood was boiling. I should have made a big scene but that is not my character. I have never seen anyone in any level be so rude or to treat people so poorly.

Because I was in shock I stood there for a moment and she was just as rude to the following 2 customers as well.

How does a company allow this to happen?

And the first time it happened I thought maybe she was just having a bad day.

For what it is worth, most of the things I get with coupons I donate some of it to local charities. I have always loved CVS for the rewards programs and ECB programs.

I am so frustrate and upset, that I have actually had my 3 prescriptions that I have always had filled with CVS transferred to another pharmacy.

I hope that this information will be forwarded to Denise’s manager. I am certain if I was treated like this, many other customers must have been as well.

Sincerely

Interesting phone call!

The manager from The incident at The Cheesecake Factory called me to "apologize" for us having such a horrible dinning experience. (ok so I may have sent a little email when we got home)

He says that they have taken care of the situation promptly at 6am this morning and had contractors come in to clean all the gum off from under the tables. This has also been discussed in detail with all the managers and "gum removal will be added to daily side work"

He apologized that this was an over site on their behalf because cleanliness blah, blah, blah. He went on for some time.

Its still gross and disgusting that this happened. I had also added the restrooms to my email because they were pretty gross and disgusting too. And he says they pulled the log for that day because restrooms are to be cleaned every 15 minutes and it was not complete and he was very sorry blah, blah.

So he is sending us something in the mail "to make up" for the over site on the restaurants behalf and would like us to come back ,and when we do to call ahead so he can make sure we have the best server and service the cheesecake factory has to offer.

Umm some how for me this is not going to do it? I mean I will certainly use my gift card, or whatever he is sending but you have to know the first thing I am going to do is look under the table!!

Dear Petsmart

I just wanted to say thank you so much for the service we received at your location.

We have just relocated to Kansas and were in need of a groomer. Our previous vet was very good with our little Daisy she has been very badly abused and we rescued her about 2 years ago.

When we arrived at the salon they were pretty busy. Alyssa was happy to help. She went above and beyond the call of duty. I explained to her that Daisy was badly abused and was afraid of people and other dogs. She listened to my concerns and said it would not be a problem to cut her nails and clean her ears. I told her that the minute I gave her over she was going to pee and this did not phase her! She took Daisy right from me and held her close even though she knew she was getting peed on.
She took Daisy and strapped her into the table and when Daisy cowered and peed Alyssa swept her right up into her arms and sat with Daisy in her lap. She sat on the bench and cut and filed her nails, while the whole time talking to her and kissing her head to make her feel better.

I can not even tell you how good this made me feel. Alyssa went above and beyond what would have been expected of a groomer. She held Daisy close and was able to cut and file her nails and clean her ears.

I can not say thank you enough.

Alyssa is a great asset to your team, she displayed exemplary customer service to me and my dog.

Your forever loyal customer
