So to start off when the hubby and I first got married we bought EVERYTHING from Ashley furniture (7 years ago).
We loved the stuff, it was well made and lasted us 7 years. When we moved we sold it all on Craigslist (I think they should start paying me for the self promotion?)
Anyways we moved to San Francisco and we need all new stuff, we checked a few places around and then WENT 45 miles out of our way to go to an Ashley store we found the couch, chair and coffee and end tables we loved!
We ordered it and then all hell breaks loose...
1. They told us 3 weeks from the time we ordered and IT TOOK 5 weeks.
2. When the stuff arrived THE DRIVERS WERE BELLIGERENT! They cussed and were dropping f-bombs like candy. I struck up a conversation with the "lovely" young gentlemen and I was informed "Today my last day I do not get paid enough to deal with this fucking bullshit, I have only worked here 4 days"
The other guy chims in "Today is my fucking first day and probably my last"
It took them an hour to get the sofa in the door. I had to talk them out of hanging it over the balcony to get it in (serious I can not make this shit up!)
And then one of the guys says "umm excuse me but these fucking tables broken, did you still want them?"
Umm no?
So we refused the tables and as soon as they were out of earshot I called Ashleys customer service (if you can call it that) to file a complaint.
I also told them at that time we did not want the tables, cancel the order and just credit us.
I was told she would need to call me back.
4 days later still no call.
I call them and finally get an apology and told we would receive credit for the delivery (they also left all the garbage at the bottom of the stairs)
And they say they will call back about the tables (that I clearly stated we did not want)
So the call my husband back and tell him we can not cancel the order.
And then I call back and they try to tell me that my husband told them to order the tables again.
I was told by 4 different people we would not be refunded for the tables.
SO I spoke to the boss, the bosses boss and we received refund for the tables!! I can not believe that they would put customers through this. Only to give refund anyways?
Oh and to TOP IT ALL OFF? Yeah, what we were told we were paying for the set they are giving us a refund of $60 less than what we were told we were paying!!
NEVER AGAIN!
But the good from the bad is we really love our couch and chair!

Oh nooooo so sorry to hear this. Ashley messed up our delivery the other day but the guys were great about it and socourteous and I got a credit in the store without even asking even though they fixed the solution within in an hour. Guess I was lucky although it sounds like they mess up ALL the time!
Wow! That's crazy! They must have had a good time before they showed up with your furniture. There is an Ashley store her and I think I'll pass on going there.

That's really crappy customer service that's for sure. I guess sometimes it's hit and miss. Glad you got your refund. At that point it's the principle! I like their stuff too. Just from that small pic of the broken table I think I know which one that is. Hubby's furniture he already had is all from there and we tried to get some stuff there for the bouse but didn't find what we were lookin' for.
Wow! I can't believe those workers. I bet they dropped that table and broke it and then tried to act like it was already broken!
