Work Horse!!

So I started the new part-time gig and its AWESOME!! Too bad I am not going to make any money from all the stuff I am going to buy in the store.... lol
I have been working all day (9 hours less lunch) and then heading the the PT gig for training which has been 5 hours a night after a full day... and I should be SUPER tired right now but sleep alludes me.
So I am baking cookies. The neighbours kid he goes to church with came by a few months back selling cookie dough for a school function and I bought some... well lets just say A LOT, I am such a sucker for this crap though, because I was always #1 selling cookies, or chocolate bars so I ALWAYS buy stuff from the kids who come to the door. Oh and 2 ladies kids at work who were selling them too... not such a great idea when you are working on losing weight and have ALL THIS COOKIE DOUGH laying around. So I bake cookies and bring them to work. Right now there is double chocolate chunk chip cookies baking away in the oven and when they are done (12 minutes) then I will try to sleep again.

I am so excited about the 4 day weekend!!! WEEHOOO well from one job anyways, so this new PT gig is training 3 days this week and then my first "official day" is BLACK FUCKING FRIDAY!!! Serious I do not know what I get myself into. Well it could be worse I guess, Kohls
(one of the places I really wanted to work) is opening @ 4am and I only have to be at work @ 5:30am..... Well at least I will be off in time to maybe check out some after thanksgiving sales... yeah who am I fooling I will be so sick of friggin people by the time I get off that I will be heading straight home for turkey leftovers.

I am cooking this year again. Only my 2nd turkey ever so I am going to have to call my mother in law again for directions I always forget how many pounds = how many hours in the oven. Hubby and I are excited because we are going to make Daisy her own plate and watch her stuff herself.... I will be sure to take pictures....
I have a lot of things to give thanks for this year.... Look for my Thanksgiving day post.. between naps from stuffing myself!!

Oh My!!!

Ok y'all know how I love me some shoes. Serious. Ok so I was doing some online shoe gazing (I say gazing because I am BROKE from my vacation) that and I do not really shop for shoes on line except for that one time...

Anyways I found these babies and immediately started to giggle.




I mean serious What. The. Fuck. all I could think was I guess these would be great for a night out when you knew you were going to get WASTED that way there would be NO way you would lose your shoes??

In other less distrurbing shoe news... I GOT A PART TIME JOB!! And I am really excited about it!!! Why would I be so excited? Well it seems my manager is halarious and I am working at my DREAM store.. Lets just say my house is going to be REALLY organized and I am going TO BE WORKING IN LINENS AGAIN!!! I know I am such a geek but I have a passion for linen (towels, sheets, duvets) I worked in linen many moons ago at one of my first ever jobs and I LOVED IT!! Maybe it was the people I worked with, maybe it was working with people who knows... But WEEHOOO new shoes here I come!!!

I am also going to Vegas for a weekend to meet 2 of my old roommates and party it up for a weekend in Dec weehooo I am so excited...

How did she get so smart?

I think to be honest she's a lot like me and is SICK of hearing all this shit about Brittney Spears, I mean I really can not blame her, Brittney is very much like a train wreck (pardon the pun) you HATE her but you can not look away.. which is why I am VERY excited about my new subscription to US Weekly. I love trash magazines but this one is by far my favorite I guess Daisy is not too fond of Brittney either...

There is so much going on right now... Yeah I know no excuse. I am again looking for a part-time job as the hubby will be traveling for work a bunch in the next few months and for me to be alone IS GOING TO DRIVE ME CRAZY!!.

Actually to be honest I do not think I have ever slept in them (other than Montreal) because they are too warm but they are great to bum around the house in!

Canadians are GREEN

In Canada we are big about the environment. It was a big change for me when I moved to California. For instance in Canada the supply you with 2 recycle bins, one for cardboard, paper ect and one for glass and plastic. You are required to sort your garbage. What happens if you do not sort your garbage? They will not pick it up....yep if you put out your garbage and not your recycle bins (different bin each week) they will leave your trash there....
Pretty cool huh??

How cute is she??? Its getting really cold out here at night so I bough her a little jacket. At first she would not even walk with it but I guess shes less stubborn that I though.. I will have to do a video with her in it playing fetch... its too friggin cute!!

My Vacation....very long post!!

Was so amazing but busy!! I feel really blessed to have so many people in my life who love me and want to spend time with me however minimal while I was in town.


Day One was LONG we left our house at 3am to get to the airport that is 2 hours away for my red eye flight. It was bitter sweet leaving the hubby at home this time, seems I was REALLY stretched thin on this trip than on other.. anyways connected in Philly with an hour lay over I headed over to the duty free for some CHEAP booze. I got a bottle of Malibu rum for 9 dollars. I arrived home at 7pm as there was a delay in Philly we were on the runway and had 18 planes in front of us for take off......

As soon as I got off the plane I hit the ground running, my bestest friend in the world Salinna picked me up and we headed off to get Andrea and Sara for our girls only adventure in Montreal, Quebec. It should have only been a 2 hour drive but due to the insane weather it was pouring like crazy it took us 3 hours. So we did what we would have done when we were 21, we jumped in the shower and headed out to the bars. Not sure if you have heard of Montreal or not but they have some of the best night life in Canada. As we were passing a bar not sure where we were heading we overheard the doorman say "Ladies night, five dollar cover girls drink free ALL night" without missing a beat we all paid our cover and settled in for a sloppy night!! At 3am when the bars finally closed I had officially been up for 24 hours.... Yeah I was BEAT but it was well worth it, after we left the "free drinks" bar we headed to an after hours bar for a few more drinks and ended up meeting this really cool guy who gave us his booth with bottle service because he was leaving and we ended up talking him into staying (I mean who could resist us?)

He invited us all to his restaurant the following night for dinner and we all made a really great friend.

The morning we woke up to head out for some of the BEST shopping Canada has to offer, Montreal is like the Paris of Canada...lol Just so y'all understand.

And this beautiful dress was a whopping $495 and IT WAS FUCKING CROCHET!!! AND UGLY... my classy friend Sal has no shame and seeing how all the dressing rooms were full we went ghetto styles and just tried it on in the middle of the store...... UGLY


Montreal was AWESOME the Saturday night we went for dinner at our new friends restaurant and it was AMAZING. Andrea and I had the duck, Sara at the quail and Sal had a steak, for an aperitif they brought sauteed olives that were SO YUMMY! It was so nice to get caught up and have some quality girl time, my liver would tell you different but what does it know?? I love these girls so much and would do anything for them!!


When we headed home from Montreal we were all beat and I headed to Sara's to spend the night, it was so nice we just laid around all day and did nothing! Ordered pizza, chatted and watched about 5 movies I LOVE her dog she has a chocolate lab and he had just been fixed and I could not resist taking this picture... lol I am so mean




Then Monday before Sara headed to work we got lunch and then I went to pick up my rental car for my 6 hour drive to Toronto.

I am BACK!!

And there are LOTS of pictures and I stayed up 24 hours the first night there, a surprise birthday party FOR ME!! Many a drunken night...

I think this goes to show as a society how far we have come in terms of acceptance. I think its a great start anyways. I am not sure I would have gone with a picture of a baby but it certainly makes its point. Having grown up in Canada my whole life and being an active supporter of the gay community I think we have come leaps and bounds in the past few years. Canada is the 2nd country in the world adopting laws for same sex marriages. Who is the government to tell you who you can fall in love with and marry?

I am having a BLAST!! Montreal was awesome!!! Although for some reason there are not too many pictures from that event... (must be the booze in both hands that prevented the camera from being operated)
I have driven 5 hours to Toronto to visit an old friend and get caught up, and it was EXHAUSTING and I am sick with a cold but well worth it....

Its Friday and almost my last day here (I leave Sunday) and its been a bitter sweet vacation, I am sad to leave but I know I must and let every one's lives get back to normal as well as my own (I miss my man and my doggie)...

Cowboy country here I come... after a few more nights on the town!!!

Beautiful Sunset

This is one of the many reasons I like it here...... The weather is a little wacky at times but it feels like home. ; )

I LOVE to teach myself new lessons!!

Needed to break in the new shoes.... lol What a mess!!!
So yeah these are my shoes out on the town, me on the left, Rachael in the middle and my new BFF Jess on the right..
We had so much fun, and the lesson I learned is that the older I get the less I am able to drink like I used too.. I mean I can hold my own buy last night OH MY!!
Its 7:30pm and I am still feeling like SHIT, I have been sick all day and it is not fun at all. So yeah slow down a bit maybe? My poor body, I am on my way home next week WEEHOOOO so I am sure there will be a few days of HEAVY drinking with the ladies at home so I am going to detox my body from last night and relax the next few days..... WEEHOOOO 6 more sleeps!!

Back to school

For the day anyways. Work sent me to college to brush up on my Excel skills. I thought this would put the burn in me to want to go back to school.

humm yeah... not so much.. BORING!! I learned a bunch of cool stuff but to sit in class all week for 8 hours a day would SUCK ASS!!! I would like to further my education however to spend that much money and that much time in class.... Not any time soon...

9 Days till my trip and I am SUPER excited my girls are picking me up at the airport and we are spending 2 glorious nights in Montreal, party capital of the world.. (well Canada anyways) and then I am going to Toronto for 2 days to visit friends and then home again to spend with family and friends. I am super excited to see my dad, and brother, and mom, and sisters and of coarse all my girls.. and boys...

The best $50 I have EVER spent

I bet you are all expecting a picture of shoes... nope not shoes

Ok so I headed to the mall the other day, out 40 minutes from my house because its the only mall you can really call a mall and it has all my fav stores. Anyways tough day shopping, I have been losing weight and its very apparent that I needed some new clothes most of my pants I can pull off without un-zipping or buttoning them so I went shopping for jeans.. Yeah not so much luck I am going to wait another week 1/2 and right before my trip when I am forced to pack I can deal with the I have no pants that fit me situation....ok a bit off topic (no I did not find any shoes either)

So there is the Chinese massage place (nothing dirty you pervs) and they do deep tissue and reflexology massage, I was looking a the price list posted out on the window and this little old man comes out and asks if I want a sample and starts to massage my "bad spots" (the ones where the hubby has to break up the scare tissue from my accident or I get HUGE bumps that look like tumors) so I agree to pay $50 for 1 1/2 hour massage AND IT WAS AMAZING and weird all at the same time. The last 1/2 hour they focus on your feet, yeah a complete stranger WASHES your feet then does this freaky reflexology stuff and I thought I was going to be able to sleep but the way the massage was done it really gives you energy, anyways back to the feet thing he starts talking to the ladies in Chinese and she asks me if "I have problems with my head"
I am stunned and said "yeah I have gotten migraines since I was a baby"
It was the weirdest thing!! He would rub till they felt like they were burning then stick his finger or thumb into my foot, or heal.
And then she went on to explain that my "aura" and the tension in my feet tell him that.
Weird. He also told me about the issues with my neck and lower back and I explained about my accident and the bulges in my back. She explained that's why he spent so much time on those spots.

So yeah I am going back. Soon. It was amazing! I am hurting a bit today as is the case most times I get deep tissue and having a complete stranger stick his elbow into your ass muscle and then put all their weight onto it, is a bit weird but well worth it!

Getting EXCITED!!

Ok so now y'all get to hear about my upcoming trip home!!! I am super excited about it and I feel like screaming it from the roof tops!!

Work has been CRAZY busy, I am going to have to start a "secret" blog about all the shit I deal with on a daily basis at my day job.

Some of those highlights would be this little fuzzy guy.....yeah someone BROUGHT IT TO WORK WITH THEM!!!
